Much better than most minigun mods. Half of them on here have take the A-10's 30mm GAU sound and slapped it over.

Tried the "Realistic" sound mods... always felt something was off. Then I found this mod and found what I was looking for! This may not be "Realistic" but it suits the game a lot more than those other mods. Great Work!

does this mod have compatibility issues with this mod?
    http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/4227/?

it uses the sentry gun minigun sound when you change it to tribarrel and add 50 cal reciever

great work btw planning to DL as soon as I know about compatibility

If you run both mods together, they should work fine, it's just that that mod's .50 cal tri-barrel will sidestep my sound replacement. That's more of a harmless override than a conflict. My sound will still be used, by the non-.50 cal miniguns.

I don't think I'll ever be able to give this one up. The "Real M134" sounding mods don't quite fit the FO4 minigun, since it doesn't fire at 4,000 RPM like an actual modern minigun does.

Everyone is writing :"Oh, sounds NICE, amazing, SO MUCH BETTER now".
But... sorry man, that sound is just disgusting, very bad looped and has nothing in common with reality. And that sound... I think it was cut from video because I can hear an echo of surrounding environment

I'm sorry you don't like it, but I notice you haven't downloaded the file. If the looping issue concerns you should give the 1.1 update a try, because I improved that aspect of the sound and haven't updated the comparison video to reflect that.

But I suspect you won't do that, because it appears you're only here to complain that you don't like the sound, not to offer constructive criticism.

I've already addressed the looping flaws to the best of my ability, and your other points are an opinion and a baseless assumption, respectively.

has nothing in common with reality

I made no such claims that this sound is supposed to be realistic. It's just supposed to sound different. It's no more or less realistic than the game's existing sound effects for the minigun, since it's literally those same sounds, just combined in a new way.

I think it was cut from video because I can hear an echo of surrounding environment

Nope. It's Fallout 4's own WPN_Minigun_Fire_LPM mixed with WPN_Minigun_Fire_NPC_LAYERB_LPM and WPN_Minigun_Fire_NPC_LAYERC_LPM. The latter two files are the sounds used for when you hear NPCs firing the weapon in the distance and, accordingly, tend to be more echo-y by design.

      Opinions, opinions.
In MY opinion it sounds great - I play with headphones on and find the sound to be rather ... nuanced, with a nice whip-like clash to it that really sounds like I'd want a small-caliber projectile like FICTIONAL 5mm ammo coming from my FICTIONAL, man-portable, mutant-slaying minigun to sound.

      There IS a realistic sound mod for the minigun, 2 I believe;
both very realistic, since they're REAL footage.
THAT sounds disgusting mate... And I don't want to say those mods were bad, not at all.
Just, they're realistic, chew off my ears very quickly, with no bass to speak of.
      Reality's disgusting.

After a lot of rounds in various bursts, I came to following conclusion:
This is, hands down, the best minigun sound there currently is for Fallout 4, IMHO.
I tried to squeeze a single round out of the minigun whith various soundmods (least I could do was 2 though), and all other sounds I tried produce merely a funny noise when fired in such short bursts.
This sound, however, unmisunderstandably tells us that 2 pretty dangerous high-velocity projectiles are being fired.

Nice work on this, it sounds good and matches the distant firing sound (which like you said, sounds awsome).

Buuuut, after you fire the minigun for any length of time and let go of the trigger, there is a sound that still plays for a split second as the barrels stop spooling. It's not a big deal, but I did notice it pretty quickly.

Don't know if its utube, your computer or the sound, but at 0:30 you can hear the loop start over. It then seems to repeat every 3 seconds. Still a good sound I assume.

It was the sound, but I've improved the loop in the 1.1 update.
