What is meant by "wobble" free? Maybe it's because I'm on AMD, but there's still a slight "shearing" of the galaxy in first person view, at least this mod it isn't super pronounced...
I thought it was AMDs driver, but the issue is back.
It'd be cool if there was a more bright version similar to visible Galaxy.. but ya know, without the jigglies
Update: Nov 11 2024
I'M FROM THE FUTURE, WWIII IS ON THE HORIZON... er, i mean, I figured out the "jigglies" in the sky. It was the BC7 version. the BC3 doesn't have any jigglies at all.
Only commenting since I do see you, the mod creator, are still responding somewhat actively.
I installed this mod and noticed that a portion of the night sky is sort of cut off and shakes slightly when in first person. When in third person this chunk of sky is linked to the camera apparently and once the camera stops moving it vibrates like it is trying to get caps from someone.
I think I saw you mention something like this in a comment in 2024 in french.
Do you know of any kind of fix for this? It isn't something I typically notice when actively playing since I am more looking straight ahead, but when I stop to look at the amazing textures you have made it notice it.
If I use the 4k Galaxy texture it is somehow worse and more noticeable. Maybe because it takes up more of the sky so I can see the bright galaxy cut in half?
I have a 5600g with a 1660ti. Game is installed on an SSD.
Many people are reporting this. I really apologize for the weird jiggles and need to do some testing. IRL has been a stressful, wild ride the last couple weeks. Once I get a few things sorted I'll get Fallout 4 reinstalled and see if I can't figure out what's going on here.
I sincerely appreciate all of the reports, and how nice everyone has been! 💙 Talk to you soon~
Very kind of you to keep up with things. Having the same issue, it's just a certain spot that is flickering. Much better than the previous Visible Galaxy mod, tho.
I am getting this weird visual bug where there are little squares that appear in the sky near the main arc of the galaxy. They disappear when approaching the edge of my screen and reappear the closer they get to the center of my FOV. Links below. Any help would be much appreciated @songbored
========================== English: I noticed it too! It still happens in this version, but I can't figure out exactly why a mesh triangle is connected to the camera. I considered rotating the mesh so that the triangle is hidden under the world (but the mesh physically rotates over time, making this "solution" moot) or adding another triangle (which has its own problems) ...
Basically, this is a strange problem from Bethesda: the "galaxy" sphere seems to be connected to the camera by this triangle, which in turn is "attached" to the player model. At least, from what I can tell.
Merci beaucoup pour votre réponse. Je me doutais bien que cela venait du moteur de Bethesda. En tout cas, j'aime vos travaux. On dirait bien une caméra fixé sur quelque chose en effet. Cordialement ( Le Français ). lol.
@songbored haven't tried this mod yet, but I wonder of that's why the moon (or in my case Halo) when I turn my head, although it only happens in Fallout 4 and not Skyrim or the other gamebryo games, even though the Halo moon texture replacement works for all of them. (Although you do have to rename the textures from masser to secunda for fallout 4, and if you want both moons in skyrim replaced you will have to copy the files to another folder and rename the copies to secunda and then move them to the sky folder with the original masser ones.)
Not really sure if you guys are talking about the moon rotation bug, if so there is a fix: Moon Rotation Fix - https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/80005 I actually came to the posts to see if this mod had this fix included in it or not. :D.
Good afternoon Songbored! :) could you open access to :- "Original-Inspired Texture Version"? it's the only one of all such mods that worked well for me! :) Decided to try after a while, to build my own build and very disappointed when I did not find your mod :( Tried to install your other versions of this mod, but unfortunately I have it looks like gray clouds in which places like stars, not that at all! I will be very grateful to you! It's already the fourth day with these rollbacks FO4 and installing new mods, and here is such a disappointment, did not find your mod ))) later/ always used only MO2, and here it's not clear what to do xD) writes like "data" does not look suitable and blah blah blah.... it contains files, and I do not understand what to do with them xD) I need to somehow build this mod myself? )) I hope for your understanding, I haven't encountered something like this before :)
it seems that with PRP, does not work! for the basis took-"The Midnight Ride" + my regular mods, with which the old version of this mod "Original-Inspired Texture Version", worked normally! when installing through MO2, the galaxy is almost all just a dark gray color and only in some places from it still something visible :) all that could try! the archive for MO2 is not properly packed, the files in the archive a bunch of optional and such and others, I don't know what to do with them! xD)) well, in short - such... The author of the mod is silent, think short yourself, include this mod in your builds and look at the gray band in the night sky or not to include :D))
The DDS format might be off on this, all the Fallout 4 textures can be opened in GIMP without having to add any extra DDS formats, these can't so the wrong format may have been used when saving them which might be why some people are having issues with it not appearing for them.
Hey! Thank you. I created these with the DDS texture tool exporter for photoshop, which might use the wrong version. Let me try to fix this and see if it helps the users here. It works on my machine without any issues, but it could be a hardware-specific problem.
You were right, thank you! The original texture format is DXGI_FORMAT_BC3_UNORM. I used DXGI_FORMAT_BC7_UNORM, which works on my setup but it might be shader or hardware related. I think I chose BC7 because BC3 is an older format with slightly lower quality.
Anyway. I edited the download. It now includes BC3 textures by default, with BC7s in the optional folder. Thank you for your help, again!
I'm so frustrated right now, I now this mod isn't bugged so if I can't this to work than it should be in theory on my side of things. But I just don't know why the hell I can't get the new galaxy to show up. I don't have any mod that change the stars, sky, or even the night. I reinstalled many times now and nothing changes sadly. I said this in my previous comment but I previously thought if this has some compabilities issue with NACX, but I just uninstalled that mod and the night still in a blank state. Can anyone please that have experience with texture mods or night/galaxy mods could maybe tell me what could I've done wrong that I might not notice? :)
I might be using the wrong .dds format for certain hardware configurations. I am going to try saving them in a different format that should work a bit better for all configurations, and ask you to try again.
EDIT: Textures in main download are now BC3 instead of BC7 which should help with some issues.

The only conflicts that can happen are Stars.nif and Galaxy.dds overwrites.
File overwritten by other mod
Meshes/Sky/Stars.nif (hash not calculated)- Enhaced Night Sky - fixed-66244-1-2-1712466666
