There are 2 reasons for brown face in fallout 4. Fallout default face texture is 1k & body is 4k. (1) If you have a single mod, or multiple texture mods that are ALL 2k or 4k, sometimes the game engine messes up and gives brown face. In such a case, a simple reload would make it realize the mistaken and you'll get the right face texture. (2) HOWEVER, If you have 2 face texture modification mods that have different resolutions (i.e. one being 2k, other being 1k), the game will load both, causes issues, and you will ALWAYS get brown skin on that character regardless of the number of reloads you do. So the question is: does the brown face go away after a reload or not? If it stays, it means you have 2 mods that have different face textures. If it doesn't stay after reload, then its a simple game loading issue. I hope that helps :)
Black lips are happening on here because of what I believe to be a wrong reference that I fixed in FO4Edit. I dont know anything about this kind of stuff but I copied the reference from the heather replacer from this same author(which has no lips issues) into the lips data of piper and it worked properly.
If you edited Piper using slm command before in your existing game, the ESP plugin will no longer work because your slm changes overrides.
However, you can still change her face by using my preset instead. Just download my preset version, use slm again, then go to Presets and load my preset onto her.
I am getting a brown face, I did the preset one but I unfortunately still get brown face. I don't know what I am doing wrong, as for setting load order it seems very confusing for me, I am using vortex and do auto sort. I'd list my mod order but there are 100+ mods and I don't know how i can just copy paste list of names instead of doing it manually.
Make sure you actually have Piper selected. Sometimes clicking on an NPC in console mode doesn't work precisely. You can use this mod here to improve the console mod experience.
It'll show you if you selected correctly by showing the NPC's name appear in the top right corner.
