This is a fantastic mod, and I hope you consider expanding this concept to other urban locations across the Commonwealth... Which is quite a big ask, to be certain, but I'm allowed to have my hopes, aren't I? Just having more means of exploring the Commonwealth certainly helps freshen up that 30th playthrough, and I always enjoy more vertical mobility options. The integration of Climbable Ladders is a nice touch—I wonder if there are other locations where a ladder would feel like a natural inclusion?
Hey, thank you for the kind words! I'm working on expanding this idea to other areas. I was hoping to release something before the holidays but pesky real life responsibilites came up. :/
Great idea for a mod, vertical scalability has always been a small pet peeve of mine in Fallout 4. Like what's the point of having so many buildings in the game if you can't climb them.
Exactly! It seems Bethesda even explored the idea to add content to the rooftops since there are few lootable corpses on roofs that would normally be unaccessible.
Yea I could definitely extend this to other locations, it was a fun project to work on! Do you have any suggestions for locations needing something like this?
I actually made some private mods for Skyrim using that climbing framework (sadly lost those files). Its really great mod but probably would be a lot of work to convert it into Fallout...
Question: if you place the ladder within the terrain (like you can do in settlements) does that break pre-combines? Because if it doesn't, you can put it in a lot of places and give visual clues by putting a stack of boxes at the base.
Otherwise, around Malden center is pretty useful as the random encounters there can get sticky. ladders that go up to the random fire-escapes in downtown. Um...
The awning outside backstreet apparel. A ladder there can allow stealth melee kill against the turrets.
The awning outside hangmans... climb up that gives stealth entry.
Fort Hagen has a lot of combat and ruins that can use ladders.
hey 2gtandknives you can get to the rooftops of hangman's alley real easily. you just go past it a little to where some supermutants and dc guards fight then go to the roof of the building the sups hold then you can backtrack about 20 feet or so and there you are above hangman's ally
OK. But if it's safe to add them in so that it's clipping just under the service, and you use a standard clue - say, a barrel with a cinder block next to it - then what you have now is a climbing mod.

I read there is a mod for Skyrim that add climbing in many places... I wish that was available for FO4 and combined with this mod.
