I'm done with Fallout until I have seen what mods they manage to break with the super awesome mod-breaking update. You can very easily flag this as esl with XEdit.
From what I remember it was not really a unique, just a named legendary. Do me a favour and tell me if you find any other legendary drops, if not I think I changed a number in esp that should be 100 instead of 10. Definitely won't screw your game up now though.
Sorry if its sounds stupid, but because i am new at modding, when you say replacer esp, it means that i download the main mod, then yours, manual installation, naming it the same as the main mod & select the merge option? Using MO2.
No idea about MO2 but for most mod managers you would just install original mod then this and pick the option that sounds like overwrite. No need to unpack or rename anything.
Bulldog Revolver is very broken and due to how scripted injection works it will mess up your game, make sure you don't save with base mod installed, if you already have its probably a good idea to start a new game. Good modding practice is to test out script mods a bit before you commit to using them and avoid deleting mods that add new items mid-game, that will also cause problems.
@mikezorz13. Normally you do NOT do anything special with a fix like this. You just install it after the original and activate both. Just make sure this mod is BELOW the original mod in the left pane of Mod Organizer. When you launch the game MO2 takes care of any conflicts, last duplicate file wins - which is this patch which is what you want.
Replacers come in two forms: Direct and Patch. This is a direct replacer, which means the original .ESP was edited and it will overwrite the original. A patch replacer is a separate .ESP which only contains the changes made - it doesn't actually overwrite the original .ESP. With these both are required to be loaded. The original .ESP and then the Patch .ESP.
Did they heck, I take the lack of complaints and smattering of endorsements to mean it works. The original would completely bork your game so its definitely improved.
Very nice. I had someone reach out to me a while back asking me to take a look at this weapon. I never got the chance to do so, but I will refer them here so they can check it out.
If I can find some time, I'd love to test this out. Feel free to reach out if you want to collaborate or pick my brain about any of this stuff.
Yeah thanks, I'm sure you would have done a better job on this looking at your mods. I tried to just go really simple so it at least shows up without duplicates so let me know if anything looks wrong to you.
This may be an obvious question so apologies in advance if it is, but can this be used with the esl version of the mod or does it have to be used in conjunction with the esp version?
Its a replacer esp so you can use with either, will do an esl flagged version when I'm sure everything works right. I merge everything so always opt for the esp version.
