Is the NPC an identified person? Are they settlers? I agree with the inclusion of a unique npc, but please note that it will also increase the number of competing locations considerably. And you will need at least as much power as an RTX3080 to handle the additional load on your PC machine.
The NPC is the one at tenpines bluff in one of the first early missions. This is a clean save. I installed everything as you said in your 2k tutorial with the only differences being I uses the 4k+lmcc mod. Do i need to install the LMCC patch for unique NPCs or is the issue the NO AWKCR version?

I installed Unique NPCs. If I did not take any action, her face turned brown face like yours, but after I used Unique NPCs 4k face which I distribute here and overwrote Unique NPCs - Textures03.ba2, her face returned to normal. Don't forget to use the LoksMenuCustomizationCompendium-UniqueNPCs_Patch.esp after that. You are right you will need the LMCC patch.
This thing works! Thank you! Question... When I finally got NAC X and Reactor to work, it dulled down the colors makeup. Like red lipstick isn't as red, more a maroon/natural. This is even after I used the looksmenu RGB sliders, any tips to alleviate it? Thank you
I started off with Sephrajin's Modules ( https://forums.nexusmods.com/topic/11390578-collection-modules/ ) since I'm fairly new to fo4 modding. I realized any additional makeup/overlay mod like DeLuxe Makeup caused this dulling, I don't know exactly how it did it, maybe it's the scaling? So I removed anything related. I installed Natural 2k Face Textures because the RealHD Ba2 seems too complicated for my understanding. Followed this guide + Hipoly Faces also installed Black Lipstick fix (https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/79650) and the newest rusty face fix. That seemed to fix the problem. I also installed ReShade with Lumasharpen and Fake HDR to enhance it a bit more. I run Fusion Girl with 8k skin and 2k Natural and that works well.

I'm glad you said that. But remember, this tutorial is really a last resort for those who can't escape the brown face no matter what they do. If you follow the instructions of the famous 2k face and 4k face mods published by different authors, you usually won't get brown face. In fact, I have now installed the 4k face published by TrophiHunter as he describes and play the game without any problems. I think my environment was bad before because I reinstalled falout4 once before that and started over from the beginning.

I will get to the point. 4k face applies to npc as well as player. All npc's except children and ghouls. And it is impossible to apply 4k face only to players. It might be possible if someone who can handle complex scripts concentrates on it...
Women have makeup. It is possible that a different resolution is mixed in with the makeup file. Fallout 4\Data\textures\actors\character assets\TintMasks Fallout 4\Data\textures\actors\character\character Assets\FaceDetails Make sure you do not find it in these two folders. Men do not use these.
The 4k setup works fine but without highpoly face and seam fix. I installed as instructed downloadeed4k textures, changed the lmcc fix ini to 4096, downloaded looks menu and lmcc and the 2k face texture compat. I get brown face when enable highpoly face and ctd when reverting nonhighpoly. 2k textures works fine for now with highpoly face. I will update to let people know if issue persist.
I played this game for more than 2000 hours and never bothered with/fix that brown face bug. Now i came across this gem of a guide and its finally working. Thanks a lot, i really appreciate it.
Wah... What a legend. Followed the guide through installation of 2k, made a neck seem with the cbbe bod barley noticeable, all eyebrows and extras showing up on texture, this is a working mod order
