For now, his invisible gun is not a bug. It's a feature.

He's... uhh... shooting magic missiles. Yes. That. Not a bug.

v1.1: I just revolutionized his weapon for an uncertain future. You may take it and use it yourself. It will be visible in your hands!

kinda feel bad for vault boy, first i almost shoot him in the ass from the floor below then a traded him some armor... (note: don't do that). now he is invisible, so i traded him a creeper helmut...hehe now he's 'invisible' with a block on his head.... i really need to be more careful with my mods

Yeah, sad part of using human as the base race... you can fix it by looking in his inventory (click him and type showinventory), then find the armor that is his body (probably something unnamed, definitely has the same load order number as he does), and finally type equipitem idofthearmor.

So I'm completely new to downloading mods, but how do I download this one to my game?

Easy, install Vortex (https://www.nexusmods.com/about/vortex/?), set it up so that it registers Fallout 4 (it's super simple), and then just press "Mod Manager Download" in the files tab.

    Whats his console command id.
I kind of lost him  so I want him to be teleported to me.
I also tried to reinstall it but i coulndt find him anywhere not even in the Vault Tec HQ.

I won't be able to say that off the top of my head, but you can try to click him with a new save to get it (really, any save that doesn't have vault boy installed before loading up the mod).

Another great and unique companion mod. I have the Doll on Dog armor mod for Dogmeat, so know he can have Vault Girl on his back and Vault Boy can fight alongside of him.

Somethings should not exist. And yet they do, because someone made them exist.
Morg, I guess you are that someone of this age. And for that, we thank you and loathe you.

Now, will he (and the inevitable Vault-Girl Companion) be romanceable? Will they be AAF compatible. I must know.

      +1.
Any chance of an optional non-recruitment feature but a replacement of the Mysterious Stranger for the eponymous perk ? I mean, let's go Wiiiild !
Oh and thank you for this other treat from you and your brain. Yeah.

Nice Fallout Tactics reference. Really under-appreciated game. Everyone only ever talks about the Power Armor in that game (which is frickin awesome, but still).

Tracking and going to put in my next playthrough for a wild wasteland playthrough.
