I'm almost certain this is an optional thing within the NAC. its supposed to simulate you walking from the bring sun into a dark area and having your eyes adjust to the lighting. and vice versa with you walking outdoor from indoor. but i have also noticed that if you walk around a container from a train or little instituite pod things acrossed the CW it will dim if your inside or outside near the edges. you should just toggle the option off if it messes with you to much.
I've turned off a bunch of those settings in the MCM (adaption, cloud shadows, fake darkening etc.) but it doesn't seem to go away. Outdoors, the lighting will dim to the point of barely being able to see and then lighten again. If anybody's found a way to fully disable this feature, I'm all ears.
Hey guys, Do you know by any chances how to stop the forced Radstorms in the Glowing Sea with NacX ? I'd like to get a regular weather. I haven't tried this mod yet , all I know is that I couldn't Ban the Radstorms with the basic holotape of the mod. I don't know if it's possible but yeah some peace would be nice while exploring ^^
perfect, I can't stand those annoying Holotape menus that clutter up my inventory and take forever to navigate. So far I've had no issues with this MCM menu
Sorry for asking to random place but NAC X itself is not allowing posts, so I'm here.
Is there a factor or entries that suppresses or removes horizontal lens flare in NAC X?? Seems ppl usually get annoyed of that, but now this is opposite case. I want that, so I brought some related mod but it's not working. Radial blur is working but just horizontal one isn't. Usually u see it from construction light or strong light sources. Screenshot of the mod surely shows that flare(Is horizontal flare shown in vanilla?I've never seen that during my past several round of playing).
INI checked. bLensFlare=1. And radial blur of said mod is working. So this isn't the issue. Some related ENB values, I toggled. No difference. My set of mods that possibly affects -
Radial clouds and fogs TS(currently disabled) VW TS and VW merge patch(currently disabled) Sunlight alignment tweaks Extreme particles overhaul - less bloom(Highly suspicious) DN Ultra exterior lighting(currently disabled) Ultra interior lighting Enhanced lights and FX Fixed gobo effects Colored workshop lights Improved workshop lights - with shadows
A year later but same issue. Sorry to say I am as clueless as you and equally annoyed that the mod comes with default visual overrides that seemingly cannot be removed or disabled, and that's probably because NAC X only looks good when paired with reshade or ENB...
Spending hours on NAC X trying to tweak the damn lighting to not look like baked dog turd, only to realise that maybe I should just ditch that mod because it tries to do everything and only does very few things right... tried to make it work, really, but it just doesn't, unfortunately. Making my game look like ass with contrast cranked to max is not my cup of tea, however "realistic" or "immersive" that is supposed to be...
Add onto that the comments and bug reports on the original mod have been disabled, and you got yourself a cool couple red flags that whatever you are installing, you are doing so at your own risk and waste of time. But there's like 3 good choices for weather mods and 2 of them do the same thing NAC X does, with more frame losses. Why does a weather mod need built-in shader manipulation anyway???
Anyway, this mod does exactly what you would expect, the MCM settings work pretty well, so if NAC X is your jam then absolutely get this if you want settings saving and faster menu manipulation.
Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Love this mod and almost everything works but my ability to load specific weathers. Clicking to load one has no reaction at all even if hotkeyed. I can hotkey the forecast and I can load a random weather but just can't get seem to select a specific weather. Anyone have an idea how to resolve this? Please and thankyou.

probably not working with this mod tho...
but i have a question. is there a way to set the lighting back to vanilla?
i just want the weather options and its too dark now.
i've tried just dealing with it and changing settings around, but neither works for me.
