Now there's also a much more powerful version, but it needs the less abundant 10mm ammo instead of .45 for balance reasons. It also needs Gun Nut 3.
Of course, it's optional. The old 1.0 Silvered Receiver is still there and unchanged. You just have another option in addition to it, but it's up to you if you want to actually upgrade to 10mm.
Both versions still can silver-plate any Tommy-gun they're added to.
Also now you can get the .45 silver-plated receiver on the Silver SMG you get from Kent, if you start a new game. Otherwise, well, you can still craft it.
I've been using this mod for years now, already endorsed it a long time ago. But I just want to say that if I could download only ONE Silver Shroud mod, it would definitely be this one for sure.
Thank you for this. I was tired of my Silver Shroud always having to use other weapons or forgoe the silver paint job just to actually kill anything efficently. Time to add a silver reciever to Spray'n'Pray if that's possible.
would it be possible to get a version without the special effects and damage boosts, simply the cosmetic ability to change silver to any smg or even just the ability to rename the silver smg? Fallout is already too easy lol.
For those who are curious, yes this mod is compatible with Legendary Modification. I also use "Legendary Modification - DLC and Additional Fixes" by junks808. I made a 2LM submachine gun and added the silver receiver with no problem. It rocks!
Love the mod; it is exactly what I was looking for (a way to may Spray n Pray silver mostly, but also a nice bonus for being The Silver Shroud).
I know you made the mod months ago, but I wanted to ask a question about your decision to use 10mm as opposed to .45. Why did you pick 10mm, which is smaller, less expensive, and (in my personal experience) easier to find due to a lower minimum level for spawning? Wouldn't .50 caliber rounds (larger, more expensive, higher minimum level for spawning) be a better choice?
First of all, I wanted to thank you for this, and for the corresponding armor mod. I'm having great fun playing super-hero. Q: If I upgrade with the new ESP so I have the more powerful option will it affect the Silver Receiver I already have on my gun?
No. The old receiver is untouched. Well, now you can get it from Kent, in a new game, but that's the only difference.
You just get an extra choice of receiver. Slightly more DPS, for slightly less ammo use, but it's the 10mm ammo instead of .45. But it's up to you whether you want to upgrade to it or not.
Or you can have two silver-plated SMGs, one in each caliber, and switch according to the situation or according to what ammo you have.
The silver plating on the receivers looks the same for both, so it shouldn't affect the superhero persona either way.
Can you make a version to have the damage to be the same as the powerful receiver?... You already made a OP version for the silver shroud anyway... No point to weaken the damage eh?
They're on top of any legendary effect. And the legedary stagger triggers for 5% of the shots for an auto weapon, while this triggers a LOT more often.
Ok, second try. The previous attempt was broken, and did not cause Kent to actually give the new receiver. So I made it craftable instead.
Worse yet, I had accidentally corrupted the previous attempt at a plugin, so please, for the love of Thor (and the other Avengers), don't use that one. Use this instead.
Awfully sorry about that mess. That's what I get for uploading stuff at midnight. Sorry.

Excellent work. You're great!
