  • Plot Placement Guide - All Versions

Except for version 1.1.0 of the Guard Stack, I believe the settlement layout is reasonably self-explanatory, and the plots are easy to place, so the bulk of the following is provided as a general reference and guide.

    Guard Stack

With versions 1.0.2 and earlier, use a regular (non-foundation/surface snap) 2x2 plot with surface snap off.

With version 1.1.0, use a 2x2 foundation plot with surface snap off – mildly finicky. Note that (1) you will have an ‘extra’ foundation in that location – delete one of them per your desire and (2) there aren’t enough available snap points for a regular 2x2 plot to snap into place with updated design, so upgrading an existing settlement can be tricky – please reference the Guard Stack and Converting article. <...

  • The Guard Stack and Converting a Settlement to v1.1.0

I generally expect the following conversion process:

With layout version 1.0.0 (if you somehow have that installed):
    1. Scrap the layout via Workshop Framework before installing plugin version 1.1.0
    2. Save and exit
    3. Install the plugin and continue with step 2 below

With layout versions 1.0.1 and 1.0.2:
    1. Scrap your current layout via Workshop Framework
    2. Apply the Core v1.1.0 layout
    3. Snap the 1x1 into the new location
    4. Following one of the methods below, finagle the 2x2 into position
    5. Refresh the plots
    6. Go play, or not, because everything else should be ready to go

    Target coordinates for reference:

    pos y 91828.73
    pos z 6058.97
