Hey I gotta say your mods are amazing and are basically essential in my load order and I wanted to say thanks for that lol. There's something I was wondering is it possible could do a mod with the classic Lyons T-45 BOS like this one or would you know where to find one? either way your mods are sick!!! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK i love the ncr stuff too ha peace
They'd both claim to be the true BoS. Outcasts considered Lyons to have gone native, abandoning their techno-fascist creed with his pointless desire to, ugh, use the BoS to actually help the people. He'd probably seen the error of BoS ways during their sojourn east.
Maxson is essentially an Outcast fundamentalist, his Commonwealth BoS evil. Trouble is, they're no longer outcasts, so the credo of the mod is rather questionable, as it's far more likely they'd have dropped the outcast colour scheme during their reunification with the main BoS outfit in DC. That said, Maxson's BoS being evil, this makes them look it too, so I actually quite like the mod's idea.
So I guess in this mod the reunification either didn't happen or was only partial. Maybe the DC Brotherhood are happy to let the Lyon's Pride exist and even help people as long as it isn't with their resources, and the Outcasts in this mod are radicalists and will go out of their way to destroy groups that have different ideals but aren't directly effecting them like Lyons Pride, the Railroad and Acadia.
Well, I'm talking lore, wherein Lyons' Pride effectively ended with Sarah's demise. Maxson's a kid in FO3, but descends from BoS's founder (the legendary, if murky, Roger Maxson). He reunited the post-Lyons' DC BoS with the Outcast DC BoS. But it's clear in FO4 he's full-on fundamentalist Outcast in outlook (i.e. like BoS of the West Coast and FNV). So what I'm saying is, all East Coast BoS are, by the time of FO4, essentially like FO3's Outcasts in all but name - so dressing them in Outcast colours in some ways seems fitting.
Yeah I'm on the same page, I was just thinking 'out loud' on what we can imagine is the case if we are using the suggested mods and both groups are choosing to call themselves what they are here. :)
They didn't drop the Outcast colors though. Have you seen the colors they wear? Look at the Paladin paint. It's more standardized and clean, but it's the outcast colors. Black and Red.
Also, if I hear someone call the Brotherhood "fascist" again, I'm gonna scream. It's not a synonym for Evil. Do they oppress people and sew division to take control? Do they disarm people and act like a nanny state? They do not. They take your laser guns, but your regular guns are fine. They are not a fascist government. Merely a military organization on a weird techno-crusade. They're no more fascist than the Crusaders in the 11th century.
The Maxson chapter doesn't even steal much technology off people ever. They only do it if the technology is dangerous, really powerful or being used in a dangerous way. Maxson purposely made his chapter more lenient, probably to appease the Lyons loyalists.
Mods that should have been from the base game: It would have been more interesting if we directly helped these guys in the plot and not if it was pure speculation As a personal suggestion I think it would be better to create paints for all the armor of the brotherhood and not give them all t-45

would it be possible to use this with consistent power armor overhaul???
