Is there a way to free the prisoner without being able to hack an expert terminal? I've been running around this school for a half hour and I'm ready to just console command it.
I used to be able to use the dialogue for getting food paste. Now it does not show up anymore, I believe it is a mod conflict but I have no idea. What can I do?
Everything else works fine since the update but in the dialog for the machine there are only the new colors. The original pink isn't an option. I don't know for sure if it could be the mod Extended Dialog Interface. It is a hard requirement for the mod Point Lookout so I can't test without it. I am using the machine in many settlements and it fits in Vault 88 so well. Great job.
Edit: I just remembered that the original version had a "more" choice to trigger page so all of the pastes could be made. That is probably the best way if you don't want to mess with Extended Dialog Interface.
i'm stuck on this mod. i rescued the npc and got the book, but quest is still active saying " eat your way to food paste machine " (or something like that). sent npc to settlement, but cannot find were in the build menu the food paste machine is to be able to build it. i've looked in the usual places but cannot find it. is it because the quest is still active in my game?
Hmm, the quest should finish once you eat the food paste with the book in it... confirm that you have done so. If you have, I can hand you the console commands to trigger the events manually :D
thanx for the reply. i'm an idiot. i was trying to eat the advanced cookbook in my misc inventory. not the one in my aid section. all is well, now that i ate that one i can build now. thanx :)
Can I use the ESL version of this mod in conjunction with the ELS file of your other mod that affects Food Paste, letting you get back the tray after you eat any? I tried to a week or so back and I noticed an oddity where I wasn't getting the trays back, regardless of what kind of paste I ate.
ESL worked perfectly, quest, vendor, only nitpick i have is that when you eat the food paste-recipe book & you get the bobblehead, it doesn't make the unique sound & "There we go" comment, neither does it shows the description, but it does if you drop it & pick it up again. And it fits on the bobblehead stand as intended! :D
First time i build the food paste machine, i approached it and i got the option for the paste. Reloaded & tried again, never managed to do it again. Repeated the quest a handful of times, assigned a settler (works fine, got the bonus on food production), nothing. Not even a stored paste in workshop inventory. Traveled around a week worth of time, nada. I have trays in my inventory in case they were needed.
Maybe that approach method is not the most reliable, would be better if we could click on something.
Do i have to do something specific? My steps after sending Gibson to a settlement were: ate the food paste-recipe to get the cook book (quest completed), threw & picked the bobblehead to get its description, leveled up to get the required science perk, inspected the cook book, went to settlement, build the machine. After some tries, assigned Gibson to the machine, tried again, nothing.
I'm gonna reexamine the perk on my side in creation kit to make sure it works properly, the way it should work is that once you have the machine built you just need to approach the machine with a cafeteria tray (conditions are that you're not in workshop mode, have a cafeteria tray in inventory and the target is a food paste machine). Technically speaking the machine should work as soon as you complete the quest (after eating the food paste with a book), as that gives you the interaction perk.
Okay, could you please try approaching the machine with exactly 1 cafeteria tray? :D
Edit: Sent out an update, one of the conditions was off, throwing the entire machine off; this is what happens when creation kit makes you repeat the same action 24 times without a copy/paste :D

Thank you very much for your hard work!

I don't care to be honest, just a notice :D

Update: Seems to be a case of not being given a perk you need to interact with the thing

That's some very conservative machine....
2.0.1 is more capitalist?
Edit: Apparently it's not :3
