The newly added ballistic mask is exactly what you'd expect! A simple face mask that adds additional damage resistance.

The ballistic mask is added to the raider leveled lists and spawns after level 8. It can also be found in the legendary loot pool or be purchased from armor vendors. In my testing the mask is a relatively rare spawn especially if you a lot of mods that add to the raider LL. I think this is fine though, the extra armor makes this a mask worth fighting for.

The mask gives you a bonus 20 DR, and has a ton of skins that can be applied at the armor workbench.

The ballistic mask takes up the face/eyes slot so it can be paired with helmets, just be aware that it can clip with some, and not with others. User experience may vary. This is my first armor mod, be gentle.

There's not much more to it, this mod is very simple, but effective.
