There are definitely two kinds of people playing Fallout 4 when it comes to power armor: 1) Those that don't really like PA,because they are not comfortable in it,using it,or facing an enemy in-game that uses it. idk 2) Those that fell they have finally come home, when wearing a suit in-game. Kinda like a deja-vu.
Looking over the mods affecting PA,reading the authors statements, have brought me to these conclusions. Me,I had dreams about being in a suit of enhancing mechanical armor after reading about one in one of my father's sci-fi novels(some classic old stories written by people smarter than us). Dreams. I'm a type 2. No detraction for this mod though. It is the craft and skill of mod authors of all kinds and degrees of imagination that make Fallout 4 the fantastic game that it is. So,thank you.
My personal issue with PA in Fallout 4 is the sheer amount of randos that use it. In older games (and in lore) you needed to undergo training to operate PA, but in Fallout 4 anyone can use it at any time. Yes, it's convenient, but it ruins immersion.
I still encounter characters in PA frames, and an occasional unused frame here and there. I'd also suggest giving PA back to the Atom Cats, since it's their whole thing.
@Awkward: As you have a lot of mods you could've provided the name or the link - here's both: No Power Armor Allowed. However, the one somewhat key issue with that mod is any NPCs that did spawn with PA don't get given any normal gear to replace it.
I try not to plug my own mods on other people's mod pages. But yeah, you're right. My mod does nothing but stop npcs from spawning in PA. I should really update it sometime to give them armor lol
