    From the Fallout Wiki: Idiot Savant

    The term 'idiot savant' is an obsolete term in psychology for Savant syndrome, where a person with neurological disorders or brain injuries displays exceptional skill in a specific field.

    That is the reason Bethesda named so that perk.

    Of course, you are free to dislike and rename it.

    1. That's why I don't like it, I feel like using a real neurological condition as a perk you can choose in a video game is kind of.. iffy. That aside as you said it's an obselete term, and one that comes off as quite demeaning towards people who do have Savant Syndrome

    3. Uhh.. I have no idea what you're talking about, Streetyson. I changed the name of the perk to "idiot's inspiration" because I feel like that's an accurate name for the perk, it increases exp gains if you have less intelligence, so the greatest users of the perk are people who are playing "idiot" characters. Like I said in my reply above, I just think using an outdated term for a psychological condition as a perk you can take is.. just not very good in general, and I feel better about the game having it changed. Of course you can believe what you want about implications and such. I'm not trying to make myself out as superior to the writers at Bethesda for changing it I just prefer to have the name of the perk changed and so I did that.

      And I don't think a game world being dark means I'm not allowed to change the name of a perk, that just seems pointlessly limiting

    Two flaws to this mod.

    The Idiot Savant perk does not function if your Intelligence drops under 1 due to debuffs or other causes. (Bug #20422)

    and it could have the ESL tag in the plugin's cell header. (You can do this in xEdit/FO4Edit. As for the above, just copy the fixes from UF4OP's records.)

      We all start from somewhere. Just the two changes I list here should resolve any complaints from the userbase once implemented.
    3. Took me a bit to figure out Nexus' interface for adding new files, that should be done now, thank you!
    4. Or.. it should be. still figuring out the interface it seems to be uploading an old file... sorry for the problems

      Looks good, the only thing I'd recommend doing now is fixing the filename to match your original release to prevent save game breakage. You shouldn't have to do anything more after that.
