    When updating to Better Scopes VR version 0.8/0.9 I noticed a change in activation distance,
    I recommend using v0.6 for now with my mod

    I've decided to leave the RPD in, but do advise not to download the manual 2k file as this gave me a Virus Warning.
    I had no warnings with the Mod Manager Version so that might be fine.

    Absolutely essential pack of weapon fixxes, been using this for so long, trying out all the different mods it makes compatible.

    Weird bug with SIG MCX though, after adding the 'Cool double mag fast reload" magazine at a workbench, game will instantly crash when i try to equip the rifle.

    Just discovered this guide: https://github.com/rollingrock/Fallout-4-VR-Body/wiki which explains how to reposition the scope and switch between zoom levels - this is part of FRIK but is crucial for getting the scopes accurate, it should really be linked to from the description page of Better Scopes VR and VR Weapon Overhaul  :)

      Yep it works fine for me - but I have better scopes vr 0.9 and weapon overhaul vr 5.1 (and FRIK and Better Scopes VR Tweaks) installed. I wrote some instructions out:

      CONFIGURING SCOPES: Once you start using guns with scopes you will probably find that the crosshairs are not lining up exactly with where the bullet actually strikes. You can tweak the sights to match where they strike using built in FRIK controls. Before you start this process, you may want to open the VR game settings and switch Rotation from Smooth to None - this is because we will be using the right thumbstick to adjust the position of the reticule. Before you start the reticule adjustment, grip the weapon with both hands and bring the scope close enough to activate the zoom - you can now switch between any available zoom settings by pressing the X button on the left controller. This will cycle through 2.5x > 4x > 8x if they are available. When you are happy with the zoom setting let go of the weapon with your left hand.

      To activate the reticule adjustment mode move your off hand close to the scope (but don't grip the weapon) whilst the scope is activated, then press and hold the left trigger - after one second the adjustment mode will activate, but keep the trigger held for now. You can now use the right thumbstick to gently nudge the crosshairs towards where the bullets are actually hitting - once you are hitting on target you can then release the left trigger to save the setting and you can switch the VR Rotation setting back to Smooth if you changed it. You can reset the reticule back to the default settings at any point in the process by pressing the X button.

      This setting will be applied to all scopes globally (not per save), so you will have to adjust them again if a new weapon is significantly different in shape and size. You are also able to adjust the position of the weapon in your hands and where the off-hand grips it - there is a full explanation/guide here: https://github.com/rollingrock/Fallout-4-VR-Body/wiki.

      Thank mygood ape doctor, I just found your mod and instruction, I will try to adjust those setting again, but I wonder if it won't just be easier for sake and gameplay to stick with vanilla scope.
      "This setting will be applied to all scopes globally (not per save), so you will have to adjust them again if a new weapon is significantly different"
      You are saying that the reticule changes is not per weapon ? Meaning we have to redo all the calibrating ?

      What I am saying is that the actual adjustment is global, but as the weapons are different shapes and sizes, the angle at which you grip and look through is different - so weapons of a similar size and shape are generally calibrated, but if you switch to a very different weapon - usually really large ones - then you might need to recalibrate. I tend to only use one rifle with a scope anyway and don't bother at all with pistols or automatic weapons - so I only calibrate once and the settings are saved somewhere either in FRIK or the save file etc. Either way I generally only have to do it once per save and I am so used to doing it now it literally takes me a few seconds and three or four bullets :) I hope you get it working. I actually build proper target boards (usually in Sanctuary) and calibrate from the same distance/position every time. I use the Shooting Target mod - which allows you to craft a variety of targets...

      I tried all versions of Better Scopes versions and I don't think any of them line up well when zoomed in - as a workaround I just disabled the zoom by setting scopeZoomScale = 0.0 - this means the zoom in doesn't happen at all but the sights are now pretty accurate. If you use the latest version you should also set UseFRIKDynamicGripping = false as when true this improves the grip visually but throws the sights out. I would also recommend setting EnableStaticGripping = true in the FRIK.ini - so what you end up with is accurate sights with no zoom in and the left hand slightly clipped through the weapon - but it works well...

      I don't use frik. Great in Skyrim but I can't get it to behave in fallout. I just use idle hands.

    Whenever I install this mod, I get a black box where the reticle should be, any advice?

    First of all.  I love this Mod.  It took me way to long to realize that I did not actually need to install 'See Through Scopes'.  This was causing me all kinds of issues.  I have a couple of questions -
    1) Everything is working great using Better Scopes VR .6, but I actually hate that the activation distance is so far away.  I only use the scope when I want to and I feel like the zoom happens way too soon.  I would prefer to ram myself in the face with the quest 3 controller.  If I update to a newer Better Scopes version with a close activation distance, will it cause any problems?
    2) I love the mod 'BR77'.  It's a fantastic moddable, mordern, rifle with cool perks and graphics.  Could we get support for that in the next release?  >

      The lastest better scope variable for the zoom distance activation is bugged. You should try 0.8. this mod will work with 0.6, 0.8 and 0.9 from my testing.

      Looks like you can edit the distance it activates in the betterscopes.ini file - lookScopeDetectThreshold = 0.98 is the default in v0.8 - which in game has to be held much closer than version 6 - will have a look at version 0.9 now...

      Version 0.8 BeterScopes.ini

      [BetterScopes]
      rightEyeDominant = true
      eyeOffset = 2.3
      scopeZoomScale = 2.0
      scopeZoomSpeed = 0.8
      lookScopeDetectThreshold = 0.98
      retOffsetX = 0.0
      retOffsetZ = 0.0
      retMoveInterval = 0.1
      ZoomValues = 2.5,4.0,8.0

      Version 0.9 BetterScopes.ini

      [BetterScopes]
      rightEyeDominant = true
      eyeOffset = 2.3
      scopeZoomScale = 2.0
      scopeZoomSpeed = 0.8
      UseFRIKDynamicGripping = true
      lookScopeDetectThreshold = 0.98
      # distance from HMD to scope to activate zoom
      lookScopeDistanceThreshold = 20.0
      # Offset of reticle left/right. Left is negative.
      retOffsetX = 0.372727
      # Offset of reticle up/down. Up is negative.
      retOffsetZ = -0.149692
      # Amount reticle moves with joystick.
      retMoveInterval = 0.1
      # Zoom increments. Values are limited by scope max zoom.
      ZoomValues = 2.5,4.0,8.0

      I wonder if the UseFRIKDynamicGripping = true in the new version is causing the issue - because you need to disable that in FRIK if you want the sights to be accurate at the cost of clipping into the weapon with your hand? Not sure if this setting would override the setting in FRIK.ini or only use it if it was already enabled?

    Does this fix the base weapons or does it just fix the modded weapons people add to the game - it isn't clear from the description or posts, I am new to the game and I don't know the names of the default weapons yet... EDIT: IT does do the base weapons then autodetects any mods...

    Can anyone tell me how to get batteries for the West Tek Binoculars? It tells me I have no ammo, but I can't find where to buy or craft them. Thank you.

    I don't think this supports this set of weapons? https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/59400

    The Pipe Shotgun Collection - a good lore-friendly set. Worth supporting if you get the time?

    Howdy, so I've not had a chance to run the mod as of yet, however I just spent the better part of four hours prepping a bunch of the weapons but now that I'm running the Overhaul mod it's detecting only like 5 of the weapon mods. Have I done something wrong here?
