The defenses seem excessive. I think a version with 1-2 minutemen at each base (killable & respawn) would be just right for those who also want to enjoy defense.
Hey, just chiming in. Your mods are neat. Unfortunately broken precombines and deleted records are problematic. I'm not here to complain, but I thought I would provide an easy tool I used to regenerate them in my mod. It's about as simple as it can get. Click a few times and it auto generates. If interested, the link is below. Also, disabling items is much better than deleting them. Deleting items can cause future issues. Disabling on the other hand is quite a bit safer.
That said, I am providing advice, not complaining. Keep making mods and doing what makes you happy - that is what matters. Take care and feel free to DM me if you have any questions regarding the precombines and previs data.
If one works on behalf of, let alone generals the minutemen - this'd certainly make sense. Do minutemen at these guard posts engage raiding baddies? As in, do they contribute to settlement security?
Installed yesterday and finding the minutemen remarkably effective in thwarting settlement attacks when I'm present, even their miniguns seem effective!
Now I'm curious to see the difference, if any, in Bethesda's dice roll on failed vs successful settlement defence.
These minutemen don't speak to me when I attempt to converse with them (though I have heard some usual random voice lines in their presence).
Not seeing any problems, though I've only visited 2 settlements so far.

1) How many guards per post?
2) Do they respawn if killed?
They're essential, and can't die.
