Sorry for the late reply. This should work for most NPC laser weapons however some sounds have not been changed. I'm working on re-doing a lot of these sounds but I'm not able to actively mod anymore as I work 5 days a week.
This shouldn't be the case if it's a vanilla weapon that uses vanilla filepath for sound effects. As a note if a laser weapon has a legendary effect or mod that changes the fire mode to ballistic (regular bullets) then it won't have my sounds. However, I'll look into it in a moment and release a patch if there needs to be one.
For now you can go into xEdit and find Old Faithful by its ingame ID then see if it uses the same filepaths for sounds as other laser weapons.
I am not great with xEdit but I did look up the weapon by its FormID (001F61E2) and EditorID (Aspiration_Weapon_DC_Lasergun). The only reference I found was in the leveled list section. There doesn't seem to be any mention of sound at all in the record.
I don't know yet. I'll try a different vanilla laser weapon tomorrow.
[update] This mod's sounds work well in my game with other laser weapons (I love the sounds, by the way). I tried a laser pistol and a rifle, both in single-shot and automatic modes. Only Old Faithful seems to be affected. There is a similar weapon named Righteous Authority that I'll try as well - as soon as I can acquire one.
[update 2] I've isolated the problem to long barrels. Any long barrel in-game mod (auto or single fire) applied to any pistol causes this mod to fail.
