Better synergy for other sound mods and overhauls. (load my mod's esp after all other sound mods)
October 10, 2022 - Minor update 1.1.1 -Download recommended - Fixes low shotgun volume - AR tail sounds readjusted
You MUST only enable patches for weapon mods you have installed.
About Patches: Over 60 weapon have been patched, including all weapons in CombinedArms + Expansion, most weapons mods by Fx0x01, NovaFinch, and many more by various authors. Download file 03, which contains all 50+ patches and activate only the patches for the weapon mods in your load order. Uploading patches individually to my mod page and linking requirements is a dull and long process that I won't do. Patches are named [original mod name]_MWGS_Patch_KSSM_Ver, example: MK18_MWGS_Patch_KSSM_Ver.esp If you filter your load order alphabetically you should be able quickly see if there is a patch for the weapons in your load order.
How to make Patches: This mod is framework in a similar vein to JSRS but sourcing Modern Warfare(2019) sounds. You can make patches with the same method as JSRS, by adding a keyword to the weapon record directly. This JSRS method leads to conflicts with many mods that overhaul a weapon, or any mod that directly edits the weapon records, like Tactical Reload Patch, etc.
Instead use my KSSM, Sound Keyword Mapping replacement method as seen in the screenshots. Simply replace the SNDR records(Sound Descriptors) in the KSSM record for the weapon mod as seen in the screenshots.
Sorry to sound dumb, but what part of the mega patch list affects grenade sound when thrown? Using this with JSRS and M67 Frag replacement and when I throw a nade (any type) it has a looped ticking sound until another is thrown, sometimes stays)
First, I do not recommend using JSRS with my mod. I cannot guarantee they will work together, but checking in xEdit, there is little record conflict between the two. Please read pinned post for known issues. You can also check some of the closed bugs comment threads. Some users had similar problems and were able to solve them. You can post a bug report and include your load order if you'd like more assistance.
Thank you for answering back on this issue and what/where I should look. Never occurred to me to look at the bugs tab (usually go straight from front page of mod to comments and download files). I was able to find the solution and happily have this mod and JSRS running together. Really enjoy the beefier sounds to the rifle platform (such as the RU556)
Works fine with the 1000+ mod load order Project Penultimate. the author was really kind providing simple patch instructions as well. 10/10 sound mod IMO
DO NOT USE THIS MOD. it corrupted my save, and fcked up something in the rest of the game, i had to do a full wipe on my mod list and fresh instal just to be able to get the game to launch, the fallout 4 crash log reports all indicated this mod was causing the problems and causing the crashes even when it wasnt installed to my computer anymore.
Look at mr crazy over here hahah- EXCEPT HE WAS RIGHT AND I WAS THE BLIND MAN WHO COULD NOT SEE THE TRUTH IN FRONT OF HIM. But seriously he's not joking. A full week I was troubleshooting. Every damn thing redownloaded; mod, redistributes, end times, new mod versions, nothing helped. Eventually the crashes became so consistent- CTD at the main menu before the audiofiles completed loading.
Remove this mod. Windows key + R for run menu. Type:CMD (for Command prompt) First without any additional spaces:regsvr32 Then:xaudio2_7.dll
Had corrupted files requiring repair. Now I'm back to being knee deep in mods I don't need and caps I can't spend. Don't be a fool like me, heed the warning!
You're both wrong. I have 500 mods with this working perfectly on old gen and a Next Gen list. You have another conflict. I have 300hrs with this with zero issues. Blaming the mod cuz you cant mod properly is wild
Just because you fake bake and never had skin cancer doesn't mean the fake baking is free from causing skin cancer. If you don't see how that relates to this topic, you need to mod less and think more. Don't reply to this; I won't come back and read it. Actually, I take it back. Please waste your time with a reply; I'll most certainly read it.
can you provide a screenshot of the CLASSIC log or better yet a screenshot of the mod in xedit after applying the conflict filter. I use this mod with 1000+ other mods and its never given me trouble so i am incredulous towards this claim
For anyone having issues with this mod its user error. I have it working perfectly with 500 mods. Aside from the plugins stated above that have issues the MP5 plugin is also bugged and should also be disabled. Works great
For anyone experiencing the looping gunshot sound when a grenade is thrown. I just spent an hour trying to figure it out and actually for once found the exact problem with this bug and applied a working solution. The bug is caused when one of the specific patches don't have a sound keyword to refence to (null: 0000 or something like that). User @PeterSada listed all the sound keywords. For me specifically I had the following patches mwgs - mp7 mwgs - mp5 mwgs - combined arms mwgs - glock19x mwgs - mosin mwgs - nukaworld mwgs - 00lk mwgs - combined arms extended mwgs - vanilla mwgs - dlccoast
The problem was the MP5 patch. Using f04edit I was able to locate the exact error (you can check if a mod has errors if you right click and press check for errors) under; [FE 024] HK_MP5_MWGS_Patch_KSSM_Ver.esp >Sound Keyword Mapping > 17000FA4 HuK_MP5_SilencedNPC > Sounds (sorted) > RNAM - sound > Descriptor Then instead of the null reference copy and paste the following 00mw_SUB_MP5_Bang_SUP [SNDR:FE01E12A] and if needed find the exact reference in the drop down list. f04edit will warn you about editing it but since I did it and it fixed it for me I think it should be completely fine. I hope my suffering will help some desperate soul out there suffering from the same issue.
EDIT: If this fix works for you then good, but after a while it stopped working for me, I fidgeted around with it some more trying to get it to work, using different keywords and such and nothing. I've now decided I will be uninstalling this godforsaken mod despite it having alot of potential. Instead i'll just settle with JSRS and hopefully i won't ever have this problem again.
The MP5 patch is also one of them, even if it wasn't listed in the sticky comment. I looked in fo4edit and saw that the MP5 patch is unfinished, with many non-existent keywords getting used. The sounds in this mod are amazing, but it's quite unfinished and the patches only do so much. The mod developer seems to have abandoned this mod sadly, I would love for this mod to get finished.
ok I use that mod so thanks for the confirmation and I completely agree with you. There is only this and JSRS for modded guns which is pretty whack imo. Been using JSRS forever and then tried this and fell in love. Author was indeed killing it with this
First of all, the mod's freaking amazing! But how could I change volume of gun sounds individually? Perhaps through fo4edit? I found several guns that sound too loud while others (mostly modded ones) have a weird compressed and quieter sound even with downloaded patches. For example, vanilla 10mm is too loud compared to vanilla shotguns and minigun, which also sound compressed, so I'd like to lower specifically only 10mm sound. I tried the optional file for slightly quieter sounds but there's barely any difference. -Thanks

I'll release a video tutorial explaining how to fully take advantage of my framework beyond just making patches in the future.
