I used the original mod (Rusty Face Fix) and NPCs (my companions/followers) got VERY OFTEN 'rusty' (black) faces. Loading a save/traveling to another area) again did NOT help. Not just them, ME too! My character (Nate) also got black face. By the way, I use Bodytalk (males) with 4K bodies in FOMDO installer.
Thank you so much. This mod is finally fix my problem. I was always wondered when I use slm console command to change the looks of NPCs. And if NPC had a black face, it would automatically correct the problem when you start messing around with the NPC;s face. Thus, I had been searching around for a mod that would perform a refresh of NPC face, until I found you mod.
In case you're still looking for an answer, I've been using this with Hi Poly Faces Redux for a year, or two, and, in my game, at least, it works great.
Could this mod also verify the target has all same-size face parts and if not then re-scale everything to match? If so then it would become a guaranteed "dark face bug" fix. And, probably a good idea to pop-up a message about load order fixing.
Is there any problem with running both this any the original?
I know the original has its own drawbacks, but in my case the original works quite consistently. It is interesting though how simply changing a few inconsequential mods around at the end of your load-order can make this stuff manifest out of the blue- mods that have nothing to do with actor data.
The rusty face glitch has made me racist. Now every time I see a dark-skinned NPC I think "wow i better fix that" This was no doubt Todd's plan all along...
May you always get 5 more minutes of sleep. Thank you for this. The hotkey is a game changer. I wish all manner of goodness and luck on you and your posterity forever and ever. Thank you! Edit to add: I needed this desperately today, and already had it installed, and used the console command and it fixed Archie from Fallout London for me. Again, thank you!
i've installed this through mod organizer and when i try to use it ingame it says that im missing the .esp plugin. anyone know why this is/how to fix? i havent had this problem with anything else ive installed through MO
