"It is well known by now that upon completing Fallout 4's Minutemen Ending, if you were a BoS Paladin, Elder Maxson was to promote you to Sentinel, as he does in the BoS ending. This was cut for unknown reasons, and no mod has yet *truly* restored it, as it was intended..." ------------------ Why is it that everyone these days thinks that all cut content is automatically great and deserves to be restored as if it was somehow just tragically lost or cut by some terrible accident? And I can tell you why it was cut - it's no freaking mystery - the devs obviously felt that Sentinel rank should only be awarded to someone completing all the game for the BoS faction, to make the endings more factionalised.
And I've watched that ending and it made sense to cut it - BoS are pissed with you for using the Minutemen, as they should be!! After all, you've robbed the BoS of their biggest victory in years, one Maxson flew his big zeppelin here to undertake, loudly proclaiming themselves to the Commonwealth as being here to take charge etc. And now you've robbed them of their big victory and their fascist propaganda coup. Handing that instead to a now rebuilt Minutemen faction - an emboldened and separate authority to the BoS - both practically and politically in the hearts of the people. But then they say "oh and hey and here's our very highest fascist honour, kiddo, well done!" Yay, hugs and kisses.
Sure, one can argue with devs' decision and restore it in a mod for those who really want it. But I just wish cut-content restorers would stop always acting like they found the lost gospel of the Bible and instead realise stuff devs put effort into and then cut is often for a good reason.
You're very wrong here my friend. You're just trying to make an excuse for lazyness of the devs. This content is not even cut, all you have to do is to type in console "setstage bos305 10". Every line of dialogue works fine and every quest afterwords in the Brotherhood too. Fallout is an opened world game with integrated sandbox, so you can do whatever you want and shape the world how you want. In Fallout New Vegas you could unite all factions together or even control New Vegas yourself. Here devs just were lazy, don't make an excuse for them
Sorry, but "In Fallout New Vegas you could unite all factions together..." is simply not true, and I have no idea where you got that from. In Vanilla New Vegas, you are either Legion, NCR or independent when you take over The Strip, but never all three at once. NV's endings were faction based, and F4 is the same since you cannot have all factions united or winning by the end ((Excluding the Minutemen which could coexist with the Raildroad for example)).
And while @streetyson's opinion might be filled with political words and expressions that not all people might understand, I agree with him. Not all cut content or "unpresent" ones are blamed on Bethesda's laziness. This one makes sense IMO.
I agree with you but not a Lot. Like a good example like dog meat you can have dog meat in one companion but some stupid reason they was cut out and they never made sense. That's what I think they need look into cut content and stop being a little bit lazy but this one you just said about it come to the brotherhood and the Minutemen I do agree with that.
Maybe i a little simplified but it's not a reason to bite my ass for this. You perfectly know how New Vegas was with a moral of choice, you could keep whatever faction you like except of the main two - Legion and NCR. The devs simply didn't care about the main questline, so neither do i. The game ALWAYS ends with the minutemen, you just choose faction with which you will kill the institute, that's it. Minutemen will always be there and you will be always their general, it doesn't metter what you do. Literally the only difference is the control of checkpoints after the ending and which flag gonna hang over Diamond City. So it's extremely pointless for me to argue about the faction ending or the "cut" content relating to it, i will install any content which will make the game to feel more complete. I would even tell you even by default devs said that brotherhood and minutemen are forming the alliance to restore the Commonwealth, Brotherhood secures dangerous technologies and Minutemen take care of the settlements and restore life, plus they also feed the brotherhood and themselves obviously. So the way i see it to choose between Brotherhood and Minutemen has asbolutely no point from any logical point of view, even Preston in the dialogues constantly supports the Brotherhood and Maxon agrees with him all the time, these factions were made to co-exist together, so i don't see any logical explanation why did they cut off the New Dawn script from the final version of the game, even all the dialogues and random npc phrases are there commenting on which faction you chose to blow up the whitesuits
I thought the same thing, but for some reason the bos wants you to destroy the railroad will the minutemen want to the help them, in all honesty the devs probably didn't think about that but clearly thought of it in fnv as you can join every faction minus the ncr or legion since there the main ones. Still surprising to think about how fnv came out after 4 but it shows since thing that were wrong in fo4 like some of there weapons were fixed in nv.
this is a whole thread lol but im pretty sure you can go either way with this as the institute is depicted as basically the biggest and baddest threat in the commonwealth after the enclave and the enclave has been all but wiped out by now. so, the BoS are just as likely to take it as a massive dub. After all, they leave the commonwealth no matter what and barely seem to care what goes on there. As long as the institute is wiped out, they've still won
So sorry but does anyone know the difference between this mod and 'Ending Epilogue Restored' please? ( https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/12183/ ) In other words is this newer one the better one?
Is this mod a part of any other mods or are the features of this also included somewhere else? I just completed the Minutemen questline and got this quest with the modified dialogue and everything. I've never installed this mod ever.
Ok-I seen in another post u said "This mod is perfectly fine to install mid-game, as long as you havent finished The Nuclear Option yet, all should be good!"- Here's my stupid question: I have already finished the Nuclear Option quest-That means this will NOT work in my game correct? (because it's not-I'm thinking I need to start another PT)
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but is it possible to add the mod to the current game or do you need to start a new game? Your mod sounds great, and I thank you and all the modders on Nexus that make our gaming experience better every day, it's just that I started a new game hundreds of times and I never get to finish it. ;(
Hey, does this mod compatible with Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch? because i see record MQ302Min get overridden by your mod back and some values get reverted back to vanilla

Edit: Didn't work on new game either. Does this conflict with We Are the Minutemen and Militarized Minutemen?
