    MASSIVE OVERHAUL COMING!

I will be doing a massive overhaul of this mod, removing duplicates, restructuring the Workshop Menu, removing old or outdated stuff.
I've learned a great deal in the last year or so & will take that knowledge & use it to RADICALLY improve this mod for the better!

[PSA] Settlements have a maximum build height
    HAT TIP: Lionsden95
EDIT: It's been brought to my attention that the maximum build height differs depending the settlement and probably based on the elevation of the settlement.

UPDATED: Added a few more settlements that I checked for height
For Sanctuary the limit is 6 stories

However, if you build just a floor and walls on the 6th story, you can't place a roof on it because it is outside of the zone. This can be circumvented by using a prefab structure that has a roof on it, and snapping the base to the top of the stairs.Fun fact: If you build a 6th Story and jump, you'll briefly exit the building zone :P
Here is the list so far based on approximations and may vary due to ground elevation:(Credit to u/rajriddles for Tenpines and Starlight height limit)

    • Sanctuary - 6 stories
    • Tenpines - 3 stories (From the highest point)
    • Starlight - 9 stories
    • Greentop Nursery - 7 stories (From the level of the house)
    • Red Rocket - 9 stories
    • Nordhagen Beach - 11 stories
    • Finch Farm - 13 stories (can build on broken bridge)
    • Castle - 8 stories
    • Warwick Homestead - 9 stories
    • Outpost Zimonja - 4 stories
    • Sunshine Co-op - 8 stories (from middle)
    • Hangman's Alley - 4 stories

    FRAMES!

("Freeze Frame" is a song by the J Giles Band)

Door frames, kick boards, base boards ceiling trim & wall trim are gonna be a thing. In fact, there are several options open to me on how to implement it.

No worries- thanks for the reply.

I'll save these for a future playthrough, I think, when I'm not being lazy and letting SS2 do all that stuff for me.

Great work, btw- massive variety of incredible looking objects.

    WEED-B-GONE!

Why is it that the red & black weeds (my 2 favorite colors) are the ones that REFUSE TO DIE???!!!
    Oh well, no matter.
Weed-B-Gone must be DEAD LAST in your load order!

    **NO EXCEPTIONS!**

Even having a clothing mod last could still give you weeds!

Hello! I downloaded your mods with the furniture, lights and fixtures, and your walls. Everything looks great! No issues on install or using them in game. The walls don't snap vertically? I can't get them to do it. In your Go Big or Go Home pic, how did you get a second floor to line up with the first? I want to use this to make my own 2 story home to use your staircases, but I can build one wall on top of another, or am I missing something in the way I build? Any help is greatly appreciated, and thank you for your work, it is gorgeous! Cheers!

Like everything, there's a trick to it. Walls will not snap vertically. So what you need to do is use double height walls (DBL HGT) or NO GAP walls & a floor.
Double height (DBL HGT) walls just snap into place & require no further effort on your part.

No gap walls are (almost) essential for ground floor work, especially if you use my Royal, Regal & Elite staircases.
Simply affix the no gap wall to the floor. Attach a floor to the TOP of the wall. Attach another NORMAL wall to THAT floor.
You now have a no gap wall & regular wall with no gaps.

NOTE: I will be making more double height (DBL HGT) walls available, since they are VERY convenient for building.

Now all ya need is my paintings mod to get the FULL EFFECT! (You need the paintings mod for some of the bookcases).

Thank you very much for your explanation. I've got a LOT of experimenting to do! I love the royal and regal sets particularly, and Nistron made a patch for your lights to work with his Smart Home. I use a mod that makes Fiddler's Green a settlement and also a mod for Lake Quannapowitt. I'm going to make my summer homes there! Thank you for your creative and colorful work! I'm always on the lookout for new building sets, especially ones that aren't rusty and/or deteriorating, and your building sets are absolutely gorgeous. Thank you for the video! It was informative and will help me greatly in my building! Neat trick to make everything work.
I eagerly look forward to see what cool, new things you have in mind. Cheers and Godspeed to you, sir!

Well, I'm (as we speak!) experimenting with wall switches. Mine don't click on & off since I'm not an animator. However, I'm hopeful they will power a home without having to string an ugly amount of wires.

Nistron's  Smart Home light system utilizes his framework and works very well, you can assign a group of lights (in a room, or the whole house, or just a pair) to a switch, and he even put in the work to separate the ceiling fans into 2 separate functions for the fan and the light (configurable of course). Pretty cool and works and looks great with your lights. I use SOE for radiating power so no wires everywhere. I figure if they solved fusion power in such a compact way, they figured out radiating power. Anyway, once I get better at making my summer home with your build I will be posting screenshots of my work. The look and feel of your varied building sets have inspired me! Still catching myself with adding the floors on top to align the walls, but it is a cool trick. Again thank you for your time, effort, and creativity! Cheers and Godspeed to you again, sir!
