Hi! I have a few questions. When a Gunner wears a combat armor helmet with the Gunner Paint and I kill him and loot it, will it still have the Gunner Paint? Also if I take that helmet to a workbench, can I change the Paint to that of another faction or remove it entirely? Thank you for your work!
Edit: It seems like the Enclave troops already have the paint jobs distributed in vanilla.
I discovered the issue. I am using We Are the Minute Men and i think they are conflicting. so even when i change the modcols(which seemed easy enough), the change wouldnt reflect because my minute men were never wearing those armors(my theory).
I saw below you mentioned something about Filtering Keywords. Can you elaborate?
i was watching this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yvPtJROftjo
A levelled list has a filter keyword. Weapons and armor have templates, what match the filter keywords, so when a levelled list calls for an item, the filter keyword is how it picks the template, and the template defines which skin it gets.
So I'd like to make it so this mod only distributes the creation club paint in a uniform fashion to the factions. I see there is some cavets with how this mod is working currently. (I have to BUY the camo CC paints too.) And that the distribution will randomly choose between base colors, faction colors, and camo colors.
Is this possible for me to alter using xedit? And if I did can I be pointed in the direction of how? Heck is it possible for me to separate the need for the camo colors entirely?
Sure. Its all just controlled by whats in the modcols. Make a simplified version, that only adds the exact thing you want to the specific faction, and that should do it.
Amazing! I'm going to research modcals and see what happens. I am somewhat familiar with xedit. It's a relief I don't have to use creation kit or something else to get this down.
Thanks to your framework I'm going to try to distribute all of the CC paint jobs accordingly so I thank you for that!
I've tried installing this, im only using the BOS plugin, and I've noticed that since installing it that BOS soldiers are spawning with mis-matched armor. sometimes they'll be wearing the CC BOS Skin, sometimes their armor is using the default army green color though, and sometimes it's reverting to the original FO4 BOS skin. I resurrect NPCs in the console and this appears to be quite frequent, I rarely see anyone with matching armor skins.
Photos on what am talking about ?https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198824176465/screenshots/#scrollTop=0 https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198824176465/screenshots/#scrollTop=0?
I have also seen it on gunners and raiders as well where only one part of armor is painted as well is that intend ?
Probably, just see if there are any conflicts in xedit. And if that mod adds levelled lists you probably want to add the filter keyword for minutemen to them
I was wondering how would you need to setup the creation files ?
currently I have mine setup like this
? https://youtu.be/cIgfkCnKT8I just in case the insert doesnt work
is there a required way of seting up CC mods in MO2 ?
Also as a side question say where should I put the CC mods in my load order? and if your missing a camo for example I am missing the Tan camo would it effect the mod ?
thank you for your time and I hope you have a good day :)

Would it be possible to make this work with We Are The Minutemen?
