Meh. Egret Tours is one of my favorite settlements but this mod makes it one of my least favorites. Unlike most of the other settlement mods, which are self-sustaining (they include food, water and power), this one isn't. I had to place my own my crops and had to use planters too because regular crops can't be placed anywhere but on the tiny fringes of dirt on the outskirts. I also had to build my own water purifier and power generator to run it. Finally, there are multiple locations throughout the settlement where you're instantly kicked out of workshop mode, making any construction attempts frustrating and tiresome. Sorry, but I can't endorse this one.
Trully magic, a masterpiece. Its unbelievable the level of detail achieved with this engine (and its limitations btw) Props mate, endorsed.
PS. Noted by another user, cant remember which floor (3rd maybe), but when walking away from the service stairs, heading up to de room, when you try to go back it turns into a wall with only the elevator door at your right (the ones without the buttons)... tcl command solves it, ofc.
Madunit, I love how your mods are a, 'Go Big or Go Home' type. I know old term, but it is true and this one is no exception. Looks great. I don't need it right now...but when I do I know it is here. I clicked the 'Track' button. Great job as always. Was just using your Sanctuary Estate - Clean version and the Minutemen one before that. Just amazing. Going to go now and look through your mods to pick out another one for this play through. Your mods are always Awesome! Great job!
Wooweee! I just saw your "True castle" preview and it looks epic, man! I've been waiting forever for a good Minutemen castle mod and here it is (not really surprised by someone talented like you, lol. Seriously, you know the gaming industry's just about money when talent like you ain't working for big budget gaming studios.). I personally think this should rival your Camp Escape, imo (sorry about rambling, your Fallout settlements are just epic.)
Just as a side note, I want to mention some things I think would be pretty neat to have in a place like this: -I can't see around the whole castle in your preview, but I'd make sure the surrounding coast was cleaned. I think there is even a small sunken boat near the castle (been a while since I've been there), that would be great for the coastal look if removed. -I'd add a port with several boats. Along side the beach a diner, a fishery looking area, a merchant area, and a strictly more-or-less beach area just for swimming or relaxing in chairs on the beach. -The preview showed a mostly empty castle. I think it would be great with stuff added to it, like Camp Escape. It's one of the main places in Fallout that I think really need the Camp Escape sort of treatment, imo. Perhaps more like a castle on the outside, but more futuristic technology looking within, kind of thing. -I would add a lot of flora - trees, bushes, flowers, and benches wherever they seemed appropriate (while removing dead flora like post-war trees). Depending on how much you're going to expand the castle outside of it's original design, I'd even build a park (lol). -Since it's pretty much the main base of the Minutemen after Sanctuary, I think faction variants would also be a really neat Idea too. Especially since they could have the same themes as your own Sanctuary mods.
Hehe, thanks bud! It's like that for many people I think, got asked about a hundred times already by now ahw, that's so nice of you ... Who knows one day huh ...
thanks for the ideas! Gonna take this as the estates indeed with little variations ... I need to 'feed' the lore people first as Egret got blasted with one stars on consoles ... So the first one will be in style of the rest of the wastes, but a clean version will be a thing for sure too, even have some ideas doing a brutalist thing with that one too. It's already a mix of 2 architectural styles (modern american fortress and old european castle), so might work with some concrete slabs and huge glass planes ... we'll see
I watched all the youtube videos and I just loved the look of this mod. I decided to give it a try. If you're on the fence, like I was, don't be! This is a delightful mod that is made with so much love and so much attention to detail. I just spent the last two hours just walking around and I almost cried. It is so gorgeous and I honestly haven't had any issues - like frame drops or any of that stuff.
My method - I used Vortex. I installed and disabled the mod. Started a new game. Ran to Fallons and cleared it. Then I ran to Egret Tours Marina, spoke to the lady, passed the persuasion check, got access to the workshop, carefully picked up all the frag mines and then I used Raze that Settlement to raze the settlement to the ground. I then fast traveled back to Sanctuary, made a hard save and then exited the game. I enabled the mod and then went back into the game. I went to Fallon's and then walked over to the Marina. I haven't had any clipping issues and the place is nice and clean. I've checked every floor and believe me, there is nothing to report.
There is a ton of space and so many possibilities when it comes to decorations. I see there's also still place for me to build a little factory which is something I typically do in the settlements I call home. The water is as amazing as ever and it looks like I can plant tarberries in it with the Homemaker mod. That is nice to see.
The only thing I have not tested is the navmesh. I haven't recruited any settlers to see how/if they move around in the space. I almost don't care so long as they work the farm and stay out of my way . :D
Thank you so much for this mod Madunit. You are changing the game when it comes to settlement rebuilding and your creativity is unmatched. You are doing a real service to this community.
Some things would be easier and faster for sure ... but it's literally comparing a combustion engine to an electrical one You can't put a bethesda game in there as it reacts differently in every regard on how npc spawn and live in the world for one thing ... that's why you see popping them in in most other games, while in fallout or skyrim the get spawned when you start the game, and start living their live inside your game ...
But I have good hopes for CK2 looking at starfield ... many upgrades were made so we'll see what happens huh
wonder wich settlement would be overhauled next, may i suggest Somerville? it would be nice to see it turned into a 2 floor motel or a condo with a pool like Melrose Place
oooh I forgot about Summerville ... I'll surely be visiting that one too ... yet, another one is being prepared atm ... Little previews will follow soon

I think ue5 will get things done more and may even be simpler to build a settlement?
