Hey all, feel free to post your settlement photos in the images section! Would love to see how people are using the ladders.
Also, what is this? I posted the mod on like the second to last day of the month and you voted for it in such a short amount of time to get it into mods of the month, you all are crazy haha. Awesome, woohoo!
Some good updates in version 1.1 that I've seen a lot of people mention. Adjusted some things and fixed some things, including Transfer Settlements compatibility! See changelog at the bottom of the description page for more info.
Glad I found this one, since reinstalling fo4 n mods , JAL just a ladder is now set to hidden, for possibly a long time..=( Dowloaded Tracking Endorsed
This is really well made! I found that using Trapdoors with a ladder underneath adds a really neat effect, would be good for some type of a treehouse build
Now there is a thing... Fallout want to be my mother and force me to not use things if it's currently "Too dangrous"... And that means also here if I'm in combat mode I "can't" use the ladders. ( like the same on using workbenches or sitting down somewhere if being syupposedly in combat mode just because some coward sitting somewhere 3 floor up and lurking in cover )
Is there a way to have patch since it's stupid if a settlement getting attacked but the enemies are higher up on a surface and and I can't get there because I'm getting forced to not use ladders by stupid game restriction. - Well It's my decision after all and I'm well aware if I could get attacked at that time. It's my own rist...
Zorkaz's are a very limited number of ladders, and they're not real ladders, they're just static items that fade to black with a audio sound of climbing before appearing at the top. With the ladders from Neeher, you get the full animation of climbing, they come in a range of 3 sizes with many variations (3 wooden small, 3 wooden tall, 3 wooden warehouse tall etc. same for metal, rusty etc.), and not only can you climb up these ladders, you also get the animation for sliding down again. To my knowledge Zorkaz ones can only be climbed.
I also wouldn't trust mods from Zorkas over mods available from others. Some of his are perfectly fine, but he does tend to do the bare minimum of work on them and then never updates them once he deems them finished, regardless what conflicts and bugs people encounter from them.
I've found that when deleting a ladder, it splits into two pieces and the small top section remains where it was while the longer bottom section is scrapped. The top half can be moved around or scrapped to get rid of all the ladder.
Otherwise I've found this to be a brilliant mod neeher and other than the minor complaint, I can't fault this and look forward to all your future mods and videos!
I noticed this too, HOWEVER, easy to fix this... Simply go into, and out of, build mode, grabbing the ladder each time after you delete it. After 1 cycle the whole ladder is deleted. PS: This cycle also works if you want to fine tune the placement of your ladder by using your number pad keys. I do these 2 things all the time in my settlements.
True, I've found this. Exit build mode, open build mode, suddenly the ladder is 1 piece again. It's a bit annoying when placing ladders in unconventional places or at angles, like hanging sideways on wall brackets in a garage (for decor purposes) with place everywhere. Shifting it into place and then exiting build mode snaps it back to it's original position standing upright, and then entering build mode it's back on the wall, but again using place anywhere keybinds = and 0 can usually fix this.
Overall I think this is the best ladder mod around still.

I have a high-rise settlement I'd like to add these to, but even the current ladder lengths aren't long enough.
