About this mod

Tony Savoldi's motel in Bunker Hill gets a back alley expansion (and more!) with this Transfer Settlements blueprint. Built using assets from only the base game and DLC packs. See description/screenshots for details.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
I was fiddling around with the workshop in Bunker Hill (which I usually neglect) and it snowballed into this mess.  Most of the original structures and objects remain intact, so the settlement will still basically look like Bunker Hill.  It's just been improved - Caravan Style.  Had a lot of fun making this, so figured I'd share it.

Steps to successfully import this blueprint:

  • DO make a backup save before starting this process
  • DO manually scrap everything that can be scrapped in workshop mode
  • DO loot or store loose items that cannot be scrapped (food items, chems, etc.)
  • DO NOT use mods to scrap extra objects (i.e. DO NOT use Place Everywhere's extra object selection tool to scrap that poor baby brahmin)
  • DO NOT use mods that alter the terrain or architecture of the settlement - embrace the trash piles as Todd intended

Before importing, enable the following options in Transfer Settlements:

  • Import original items (not built by the Player)
  • Import DLC items
  • Import mod-added items
  • Import wired power connections
  • Restore snapped power connections

Final Notes:

  • The stupid light above the Taft look-a-like portrait does not power on when first importing the settlement.  To fix this, just grab the light in workshop mode and then cancel out.  It will go back in place and power on.  See screenshot for the light I'm talking about.
  • Because of all the named npcs and caravan workers in the settlement, I don't know the real food/water/bed requirements.  I added 8 settlers to the population and they all seemed happy together.
  • I have no idea if this build will interfere with any quests in Bunker Hill.  The hatch is clear and the caravan workers sandbox like usual though.

I intended this as a "90% done" blueprint for my own use.  I recommend using your choice of settlement object mods to flesh things out as you see fit.  The counters in the vendor area especially need some love IMO.
