They don't have recoil, because light does not have weight. And recoil is caused by the weight of the projectile thrown down range. AKA nothing in the case of light.
In my headcanon I like to imagine that some moving parts inside the gun cause the recoil instead of the light itself. Makes a little bit of sense, enough to continue the suspension of disbelief.
I know this is an ancient post, but just because light doesn't have weight, that doesn't mean the machinery inside the gun that produces the high powered beam doesn't induce recoil.
The laser also fires in timed bursts and isn't a straight continuous beam, which further lends itself to the possibility that it requires a lot of effort to make the beam.
I read your description but i had a different question in mind about the recoil. Is your animation pack compatible with the mods that remove recoil from the laser rifle? just asking because i do love the creative take you took on the reloading animation.
I installed this mod recently and it's cool animation nice mod endorsed. For those new peeps in modding, u need to download the mainfiles first (of course) and install. Then install the update files then merge so the mod will run smoothly.
