I like it, definitely an improvement. But, if you really wanna mod the .44 right, make it a double action like it should be and get rid of the damn hammer cock animation every time you fire it.
Gonna be a bit of a late reply, but double action is where the hammer is cocked and fired in the same fluid motion when you pull the trigger. A good example of a single action revolver would be the .357 in new vegas, which if I recall is based off the colt SAA which requires the hammer to be manually cocked before it can fire. Basically TL ; DR: A double action revolver is like a semi-automatic handgun except, it doesn't use the energy of the fired round to recock the hammer. (correct me/add anything if I missed something.)
Oh ok, got it. Too bad the cock animation is a single long animation and there's no easy way to alter it so it becomes a double action anim, at least none I can figure out.

So far I'm impressed.
I don't know if this is my gun-problem so I'm not trying to start any rumors, but I shot pretty decent using this mod at the very beginning of the game. Then after leveling a bit I picked "Gunslinger" and now I can't hit for anything, feet away from bad guys. I did notice yesterday and today on different games, the very beginning of a game is very powerful, bodies flying around. And then as I begin to level, My bullets become mosquitoes. I'm thinking "Gunslinger" perk does something to my stats but I did not study this much.
---- On my very last game I totally ignored "Gunslinger" and cheated on a perk named "Double Damage". In my next game (So, right now) after I exit the vault I will up all my special perks and award my self "double damage", and see how it goes. It (the game) is inconsistent, sometimes Biggie monsters die quickly, and sometimes they Mutate magically, and sometimes they act like immortals, totally ignoring the first 6 or 7 bullets, walking up to take a swipe at me, THEN beginning to die.
O, was I supposed to suggest something? Yes, OK, please up "accuracy" and the other thing "Power", I think. Why shouldn't player be more accurate after 50 freaking levels? His very eyes should burn his enemies to cinders. But I'll settle for more accuracy and power.
I did the same for the Double Barrel Shotgun since the reload speed was too slow for my taste. Check it out: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/6283

You may consider naming it "Competition Receiver", they are custom-built for shooting competitions expressly for capacity, (re)load and shooting speed.
Too late for that I'm afraid. It's not just a matter of renaming the mod itself but also the ESP and every reference within, not really a hassle but it would make things pretty inconsistent for those who have already installed it. I should have known better I guess. Oh well.
Can we get some real numbers on this? Compared to the highest level receivers? How much faster fire rate? How much more damage? The pictures don't mean a lot since we dont know your Gunslinger rank.
Note, however, that the resulting weapon speed isn't actually 4 times faster, nor the reload speed is almost twice faster, both are much slower than that. Animation speed isn't an exact science I'm afraid [that's why I didn't provide real numbers in the first place, they don't make much sense]
I hate to be a nitpicker but that's what I am.. The .44 caliber ammunition used in vanilla Fallout 4 is most likely .44 Magnum, which practically succeeds .44 Special. Just my two cents...
Not sure I understood what you mean.. care to elaborate? Is the .44 Special a real pistol in real life? If so, the reference in the mod name wasn't intentional.
yeah, .44 Special is a type of .44 ammo introduced in 1907 by Smith & Wesson once considered one of the best handgun ammunition, and while it continues to be made today, the .44 Magnum introduced in 1955 drew a considerable amount of attention away from the .44 Special. Because of the 1950's Magnum hype and the fact that Fallout uses a retro 50's scifi theme, flaicher is probably right in that the rounds found in game are .44 magnum and the .44 Revolver chambered for such. That said, mods be mods so have fun with it.
As a side note, I made a custom .44 Revolver for Nick Valentine and called it Valentine's .44 Special. Mainly because he feels like a detective from the Hardboiled genre of the 1930's, which predates the magnum round. Though one could argue that he's a Noir Detective of the 1950's style, but whatevs.
hahah lol, sorry for the confusion, it's Special as in "Special Receiver", that is, a better receiver than the vanilla Advanced Receiver. I guess I should have named it something along the lines of Amazing Receiver or something like that.
About making it faster: imho it would have been too overpowered.

Vanilla Advanced Receiver multipliers:
Speed0.25
ReloadSpeed0.25
AttackDamage0.75
Special Receiver multipliers:
Speed1.00
ReloadSpeed0.40
AttackDamage0.80
Note, however, that the resulting weapon speed isn't actually 4 times faster, nor the reload speed is almost twice faster, both are much slower than that. Animation speed isn't an exact science I'm afraid

i dont think he understands that its a receiver mod not an ammo mod.
i like the mod, i like fast revolvers. hell if you even made it faster i would be even happier!
