Any way to make the 3rd person aim animations match the first person? Bit immersion breaking when you're one handed in first person but two handed in 3rd person. Thanks :)
Splendid mod. Love the quality animations and textures. That being said, I did run into a small problem.
I'm not sure if I used to have an old version of this mod, or if the revolver mod I had only had similar animations for unholster, sprint, and reload, but If this is that old mod updated, I'd like to ask a favor.
Could you please release the old animation files for walking forward with the revolver? The current animation used for walking forward feels far too cartoonish for my tastes, and I would like to install the more subtle older animations. I lost my old setup, so I don't have access to those older files anymore. :(
So I found out this has a odd bug of the grenade throwing sound indicator not playing at all, not sure if this relates to me having installed a sound replacer for it. The mod is called Throwable Sound FX.
For those people that complain that the hand positions are wrong, you clearly don't know much about old fashioned revolvers outside western movies. A carabine/carbine/revolver rifle cannot be held in front of the cylinder because in realty, you will blow you hand clean off with either the chain fire or cylinder gap backfire from the explosion of gunpowder. This video explains exactly what I said.
That's why when you turn this gun into a carabine type, you can see that there is a finger hook under the trigger guard. It's there to put your left hand on to stabilize when aiming, exactly what the animations on this mod looks like when in third person.
If your gripe about these kind of mods are hand positions that are ACTUALLY historically correct and not just to look tacticool, then this mod is not for you.
When covadonga put up thier 1850 remington I remember asking him and about 7 other mod authors if any of them would collaborate on an 1851 navy with 2 different cylinders and barrels to change it from an 1851 navy to an 1860 army, but no one showed any interest, I've been hoping for it for about 8 years now maybe 9, it was something I wanted in new vegas, as black powder had a very realistic feel to me, not only can I make lead minnie balls, percussion caps and black powder, I can carry the tools to make all three in a pouch stuck in my backpack, while I cant do that with 5.56 or .45ACP, (ever tied to draw cases from brass by hand or jacket bullets?) So black powder always had a place for me, not to mention I used to collect black powder reproductions by pietta and uberti, still have a colt navy, 1860 army and a Confederate clone of the navy with a brass frame,, had to sell my remington sadly, but thanks to your mod I still get to mostly enjoy it on my xbox, I hope one day youd consider doing a colt to go alongside this great mod, if not maybe pass the idea on to someone who would, until then I'll just keep waiting as I have, anyways thanks for all of your great work, hope to see more
Try the mod called freemaker and legendary modifier framework, with free make you can craft spawn grenades for cheat chest in the chem workbench, you'll want to get the legendary cheat chest, and after throwing the grenade it spawns a chest that will slowly fill up with legendary armor and weapons, I used this to get the S&W Model 3 shoefield revolver by Cumble and the unique Henry Repeater from Dmagnus's western merge, LMF is so you can remove the legendary stat from the revolver after you get it if you so want, not required but it is handy for adjusting the performance with certain weapons, I use it to adjust the zoom on certain sights, for my mosin I raised the fire rate by 200% so I can shoot it as fast in the game as I can shoot my 1928 tula rifle, and so on.. It's not a guarantee that this will fix the problem for you, but it's been my workaround as I'm on xbox and dont have console commands
This is exactly what I have been looking for. The reload animation is such quality that I can't stop reloading the damn thing. Shoots slow, no s#*! it is a single action after all, but love it. Punishes when you miss, but that just makes you not want to miss. Adore this so endorsed...
#1: Use the Favorites to have two different sidearms toggleable. (i.e. Colt SAA and Remington NMA) #2: Use Toggle Revolver Fanning - Wild West Cowboy and patch it to allow fanning both of those revolvers. Note: I set it to fan whenever I'm not aiming - i.e. "from the hip". Also, I only allow the Standard and Snub barrel animations to fan - not the Long or Carabine. #3: Use Manual Reload (the F4SE plugin) - so neither of these will start the auto reload sequence - you have to start it with a key press. ---- You got 12 bullets and two ways to deliver those bullets. Slow and steady with a well placed shot - or channeling your inner Bob Munden....
Added: To switch between the two guns and not have them reload you HAVE to do it with the Favorites. If you switch with the Inventory - they will automatically reload.
I use Legendary Modifier Framework to just increase the rate of fire until I can ready and fire it as quick as I can with my Pietta 1851 irl, when it's out I switch to my LeMat revolver by Dmagnus, I hope one day someone mods in an 1851 navy or 1860 army, I've been waiting for that about 9 years now
Really high quality revolver mod. Because of its size and use of .44 ammo, I personally made them spawn at level 12 and deal just 45 damage and also removed the gunslinger requirements on the receiver and lowered requirements on the reload because they were a bit much

If not, no worries!
