I recommend SINGLE. If you have any problems, use SINGLE. MULTI is only for people using multiple-follower mods and is incompatible with other mods that edit the individual followers (e.g. by changing their faces).

    IF YOU HAVE A BUG:
    1. Report whether it's in SINGLE or MULTI
    2. Try switching to the other one, see if it persists
    3. Open FO4Edit, look at the NPC records (MULTI) or Quest records (SINGLE) for CAI- are any of them red? Tell me which mods are causing the conflict if so.

GOOD NEWS EVERYONE! I got a formal warning for giving a sarky reply to someone's stupid comment. So if you make stupid comments I'm just going to block you from the file instead. So don't make stupid comments.

Does it works with weapons added by mods? Like, lets say, the bow. Or any other.

I bought ammo for MacCready all the time. I was broke until Level 27. I will luckily accept your mod offer, dear kind sir. D:

I'm sorry but this totally breaks my immersion in this game where I can jump off a skyscraper in a walking coffin and not end up as goo in a suit, where I've been shot 10milliondy times in the head, blown up with actual nuclear weapons, and can heal mortal wounds with mac n cheese.

Because giving followers, who already have infinite ammo for their default weapon, infinite ammo for an alternate weapon to compensate for difficulty scaling is cheating.

It would add immersion to anyone who want their companion to use another weapon for whatever theme they're using. I don't see it as a cheat if you give your companion a new weapon. Let people play how they like.

This extends the mechanic that is already in the game for all NPCs to Companions so that they get infinite ammo for all non-explosive weapons instead of just their default weapon.

This is not cheating, please do no mislead or try to confuse users.

Infinite ammo for their default weak weapons doesn't mean that they're should have infinite ammo for every weapon e.g. ("fatman", "minigun", etc.)
      That's definitely cheating.

Edit: reinstalled and works fine, exactly what I wanted. Endorsed.

It stopped working for me with Horizon but when I moved priority down close to the last it worked again. So Garvey is using Righteous Authority now with one fusion cell. So maybe load order ?

Installed on Vortex and it worked consistently over several sessions. Also, apparently it also affects grenade, so be careful about that nuka grenade...

No, it isn't cheating.  You shouldn't have to babysit your companions in that manner.  They start out with their own money, weapons, etc.  The idea is they're their own "person," they make/find their own money/resources, they can essentially take care of themselves.  To this extent, if they get a better weapon they should be "purchasing" their own dang ammo, the same way they "purchase" ammo for their primary default weapon.  It only makes sense that they have infinite ammo for any non-explosive weapons because non-explosive ammo is fairly common to both find and purchase.  Just because you want to add the "cheat" tag to clear your conscience or some such thing doesn't mean this is a cheat.  This simply fills in a hole that the default game left, one of very many.  It has been many years at this point since this was first brought up.  Please stop continuing to bring it up.  Even the creator has moved on.  Tags aren't changing, nothing is happening.  It's time to stop.
