I recommend SINGLE. If you have any problems, use SINGLE. MULTI is only for people using multiple-follower mods and is incompatible with other mods that edit the individual followers (e.g. by changing their faces).

    IF YOU HAVE A BUG:
    1. Report whether it's in SINGLE or MULTI
    2. Try switching to the other one, see if it persists
    3. Open FO4Edit, look at the NPC records (MULTI) or Quest records (SINGLE) for CAI- are any of them red? Tell me which mods are causing the conflict if so.

GOOD NEWS EVERYONE! I got a formal warning for giving a sarky reply to someone's stupid comment. So if you make stupid comments I'm just going to block you from the file instead. So don't make stupid comments.

Works without problems for me using Mod Organizer 2. I also have Everyone's Best Friend installed.

Note that your companion still needs to have ammo in his inventory or he will refuse to use the weapon.

Not working for me either. Does nothing.

Edit: reinstalled and works fine, exactly what I wanted. Endorsed.

are you using NMM? Because this mod works fine, but NMM is broken as hell.

Does the "Everyone's Best Friend" mod for Dogmeat count as a multi-follower/multi-companion mod?

I don't think so, I've been running the single version of this mod with Everyone's Best Friend and haven't run into problems yet.

I'm sorry but this totally breaks my immersion in this game where I can jump off a skyscraper in a walking coffin and not end up as goo in a suit, where I've been shot 10milliondy times in the head, blown up with actual nuclear weapons, and can heal mortal wounds with mac n cheese.

Howdy Doodily Doo, like someone else I want to use the mod that allows me to have a companion and dogmeat with me at the same time. Do I install the single or multi version? I hope it's single because I plan on installing mods that change the vanilla npc's.

The Single version appears to be referencing a non-existing package with formID 00218F38, and besides that reference all the mod does is add the TeammateDontUseAmmoKeyword [KYWD:0023F1CA] to companions.
Luckily, it seems that the keyword alone is enough to give companions unlimited ammo, so merging in that change is easy enough.

Can't get this to work with SINGLE but maybe i am not understanding the purpose. I gave valentine a tommy gun with 50 rounds. All he does is fire the 50 then switch back to his default pipe pistol.
