    version 0.2.3, 3.2.2023:

    - when exiting level up menu(not stats menu) your life count will be displayed
    - you will get an extra life now for killing special actors, like Kellog, Sinjin, and Eddie Winter etc.

    version 0.2.2, 30.11.2022:

    - streamlined notification for better display
    - minor typo fixes
    - the SKK patch serum will no longer consume life's as it was originally indented

    version 0.2.1, 18.11.2022:

    - the message on level up includes the life count number now
    - added patch for SKK Stalker Mod, to create the serum from every 100th Stalker Death Tag
    - if you consume the perk serum, your life count will be notified as well

    Added new version 0.2, 29.10.2022:

    - added new "drug" item that allows for exchanging 3 life's for 1 perk point...if you have exactly 3 life's left, you use it at own risk, because you can eternally die on your very next death

Quick test. When you die the game loads back to the last save, notifying that you have x amount of lives remaining. Eventually you die with 0 lives and a message box pops up telling you you're dead and your only selectable option is "quit". But this mod doesn't remove or alter any saves, so it's remarkably easy to just boot the game back up and load your save. Overall, it doesn't feel like a permadeath mod with a life system to me. Hopefully my testing description provides anyone reading with a bit more info about how the mod plays. Happy gaming, everyone! <3

Does the Combat Stalkers patch also work for SKK's Commonwealth of Decay?
If not please add a patch for it!!

Sorry, I am kind of confused by the description. So, what does this do if you lose all your lives? Is the permadeath self-imposed?

I actually like this. I prefer this mod to Death matters which is obsolete. Highly recommend

I've been looking for a mod like this for a long time, is there an option that sets life to 1, I would like an option with a single chance

Last part of description asks for a recommendation for getting more lives: Perhaps trading in perk points? Sacrifice precious perks for life lol. Probably not easy to implement. The only way I can think is to use Neanka's scripts for the LevelUpMenuEx.

Sure it works. Only limit is that you'd need to farm perks, and always make at least one perk remaining, or things tend to get more complicated in scripting. You don't need levelExWhatEver menu for this.

Oh that's cool then! I'm working on a leveling mod using LevelUpMenuEx, so I wasn't fully aware of script manipulation of perk points outside of it.
