For some reason when I command Dogmeat to inspect the doghouse he doesn't change, it just says the doghouse can be used to change him, like when i check it myself

Is the file "GO4_Dogmeat_Changer_sp0ckrates - Main.ba2" in your Fallout 4 Data folder?

For example, I see the file on my PC here: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data"

Same issue here; I've done all combinations of "GO4_Dogmeat_Changer_sp0ckrates - Main.ba2" and "GO4_Dogmeat_Changer_sp0ckrates.esp" being in and out of the data folder and activating/deactivating the mod on MO2. Dogmeat still just walks up and sniffs the doghouses without changing. I've also tried leaving different ammo types in his inventory to make him change with no luck. Any ideas?

Same issue as well, Dogmeat approachs it, scratches ground and then turns to look at me but nothing happens. I do not have the high def upgrade installed to my game, used a patch to force the game to think its been updated. Could that be a reason?

PS4 player here, really appreciate that you created this mod and brought it to us console players since all the other creature companion mods are too limited or aren't available to us

I do have a question though regarding this mods interaction with certain perks: Does the "new" companion still activate and scale with Lone Wanderer, Inspirational and R4 of Attack Dog?

      Hi. Thanks for asking!
      1. On the Files tab (above) select Files.
      2. Select Manual Download.
      3. Select Slow Download.
      4. In the upper right of your Web browser, select the download button.
      5. Right-click (or tap the mouse pad with two fingers) and choose Show in Folder.
      6. Right-click (or tap the mouse pad with two fingers) and choose the Extract All option.
      7. Select your Fallout 4 Data folder (on my laptop it's C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data).
      8. Choose Select Folder and Extract.
      9. Start the game.
      10. Choose Mods.
      11. Choose Load Order.
      12. Select the Dogmeat Changer file.
      13. Select Back.
      14. Load a Save.
      15. Use the workshop at a settlement to build one of the new doghouses and command Dogmeat to activate it.

I wanted to use the bloatfly form but all he would do is run up to the enemy and stare them down, them, risking me shooting him and overal just being a nuisance

Thanks for saying. Yeah, I'll see if I can add a script to give Dogmeat the Bloatfly "ammo".

Version 3.2 adds ranged attacks for the Bloatfly and other forms Dogmeat turns into.

    Hello, author.
I used this module together with AFT and turned dog meat into death claws.
Discovering that dog meat will approach the enemy, but will not engage in any attack, only standing in front of the enemy in a daze.
Additionally, I installed Beast Master V1.4 and found that the Death Claw captured by this module can attack enemies normally

Please make sure you're using version 2.9. It has a fix for an issue where Deathclaw Dogmeat wouldn't attack.

Thanks for asking. I was thinking of doing another mod where Dogmeat will turn into the Far Harbor creatures, too.

Heyas!  Well, I can't say that I really play using Dogmeat.  But I saw this, and got to looking into it, and this is a VERY COOL mod!
So I downloaded, and wanted to say some words of appreciation.  This is extremely original, there's nothing like this on the nexus til now.  I love the huge amount of choices that you've added.
This shows some great new ideas, originality in method, and some definite time spent in work.  Well done.  Very well done.
Thanks so much for sharing this with us, and I for one, hope that you enjoy modding this game for some time to come, you're doing great work!

This mod sounded like exactly what I needed in my life but then I read the disclaimer that if you turn Dogmeat into a Deathclaw he becomes a coward? lol would having a practically invulnerable Deathclaw companion be game breakingly good? Yeah maybe so what :) hopefully you can figure out a way to fix the ai a bit I'll be keeping this tracked in case.

Yeah, there is a way that might work, but it involves making Dogmeat behave as he did in Fallout 3, with fewer dialog options.

Thank you! A Japanese sight mentioned that this mod is compatible with mods that make Dogmeat available as a second follower, but I haven’t tested specific mods. If you try one and find it works, please consider posting the name of the mod.

Hello, I like your work very much. Can you add color mutations to the creatures so that they can be distinguished from each other:)

Hi. That’s a great idea! Would take some time. As a quick fix for now, I might use a skin that’s rare for some of them.

This is a groovy mod my dude.
I have a lore friendly question though:

How long do Bloatflies live for?

Dogmeat is essential even as a Bloatfly, so I’d have to say at least as long as the lone survivor! LOL!

lol, no bud, I mean in lore terms; would bloatflies be like able to live for years and years? Or will they like die around 5 months like a regular fly?

Perhaps a more fascinating question is how could the Bloatfly exist in the Fallout world at all? I mean, there were insects that big in prehistoric times, but only because the oxygen levels were so high. Oxygen is made by plants, which are scarce after the nuclear fire, so…

      lmaoaf!
That reminds me of this video

you know, there's this insane myth that radiation makes you stronger, but that's not true, nor was it ever. It actually makes you much weaker, even your mutations are a result of your genes becoming weaker, and more unstable. Therefore none of the oversized creatures would be possible in fallout.
With that being said, in the future animals would probably be getting smaller, not larger, which is why the frog was huge back then, but small now.

Perhaps you're right. Then again, we might both be wrong!  I mean, any argument against the Fallout lore is predestined to fail. For anything can happen in the parallel universe of Fallout, where Tesla was king, fusion-powered cars had the body styles of those from the 1960s, and current hits at the time of the nuclear fire of the 2070s were those we listened to in the 1930s. As the Cole Porter classic that plays on Diamond City Radio goes: "Anything Goes".

My question about bloatflies is different. The bastards fire off their larvae like mad, so why are there never Bloatfly Larva pickups in the loot?

And the imposed cultural freeze was so bad they had guys just before the resource wars became The WAR in 2077 considering Cab Calloway to be "it" despite Cab being long since dead. Good God, only Elvis survived and that because he turned out to be a Zetan in Fallout lore!

Yeah, BlazeStyker, don't get me started about missing critters! I mean, there's iguana and squirrel meat at vendors throughout the Commonwealth, so why can't I find one anywhere? LOL!
