For those not generating their own LOD's. DON'T use this retexture. As it will break certain objects from rendering properly from distance and will appear extremely blurry. If you're looking for more performance with the original mod, use a mod that reduces the amount of trees the mod places. As someone else mentioned in the comments it's the amount of shadow draw calls that severely affects the performance.

To be real that thing is a tank. I mean it can play games like BF:1, star citizen, so on with barely any lag

Well, it depends if you have mods which break precombines and of your mod list in general. Imho 40fps on such a powerfull GPU should be considered as hard patology but... it's Fallout 4 we're talking about right now.

If I had RTX3070 I wouldn't install any mods which would prevent  me of getting atleast 100FPS.

Yeah in downtown i have enough fps, i notice the godrays do the most impact because when its sunny that is where the lag starts in forested areas.
i have a light enb enabled and whike turning it off my fps increases as well.
i have about 70 mods active but nothing special really its the combination of the forested areas, sunlight and the enb.
normally i thought my rig could handle it

ENB always hits performace, you can check my performance guide to find decent settings to make god rays be more performance friendly, however I'm not sure how it will work for RTX.

allright thankyou for replying i am going to look at your performance guide, what really drains the fps is playing on 2k as well i think but playing on 1080 with my monitor is just too bad.
what resolution do you play on?

thats not normal, I get higher fps on average with my 1060 and the original mod. I'ts like the enb you have that is hitting the hardest

Hello, I have a 1060 6GB also but I'm getting some huge lag spikes on random areas, no idea why it's happening since I don't have any other demanding mods installed.

Some areas are more trashed than others and there's more objects to render or more NPCs. I believe you already have Buffout, PRP, High FPS Fix etc.

      Try to use Looted World.

I'd love there to be an option for this mod to work with the full version. Even if it's just the tree textures in 1k.

I really hope you'd consider it.

It the shadows made by trees that lower performance more than the tree texture. :)

Possibly but you know, free more fps here, few there and overall result might be nice. You can check my guide to see some tweaks for shadows.

Great mod ! But the trees are popping very close to me. How can I set them to load far away from me ? I tweaked every settings inside ini files but it doesn't change anything. Thanks

This mod only adds lower res textures for the original mod. Tree fade can be set in fallout4.ini and fallout4prefi.in. Regards.

PS. Check INI tweaks in my performance guide it might be helpful.

If this in any way can decrease the space for Xbox I’d love to see this ported by someone. We just got a 20mb jump for Another Pine Forest and I refuse to give up any mods. It’s frustrating.

Oynlen made these textures, so anyone who wish to port them needs to ask him.
