I'd like to try making an addon for this mod that turns the weapon's unique meshes into attachments for the Double Barreled Shotgun. Would I have your blessing to upload such a thing?
love this gun! but i wanted to ask, would you be willing to include the apparel version of the gun thats shown in the screenshots? would really like to be able to holster it with my other weapons!
There are some well designed pieces of this shotgun, the bicycle seat is a very good makeshift stock. But the sharpened crowbar bayonet is the most impractical weapon attachment I've ever seen. You took an extremely versatile tool and turned it into a pointy thing to stab people with. As if there isn't ANY better alternative for that EXACT purpose. The shotgun itself looks like you took a regular double barrel shotgun and put a wrought iron tube around it. The armor design is practical and looks good. If only the shotgun was just as well-made.
Thanks for some positive feed back! in terms of the shotgun, please feel free to design, and implement your own. there is a whole community of modders here to help you.
here to play devils advocate because im a little stinker like that, i actually love the crowbar bayonet, i think its just the sort of thing some cracked out apocalypse survivor would think is a good idea.
Are there better ways to make a bayonet? sure. but if you look at the rest of the outfit and the setting of fallout in general, i think it fits perfectly
Hello, sorry to bother. I was just curious if you guys would allow this armor to be ported to xbox so we can have it with the other FOLON mods that have been allowed?
yes, just through console commands. it will be in the level list within the Fallout London mod upon release. if anyone wishes to add this to the vanilla level list they are free to do so.
Is that safe on an ongoing save? Sorry, my modding knowledge is still very limited, but i remember someone saying that compacting formids can corrupt saves or something like that. But i'll try.
The form ID's will change when you compact it which means you should remove the items from your inventory if you have them first, but I don't think compacting small armor mods like this will kill a save. But yeah, if you're not compacting records trying to just ESL flag it (/just rename it) will only cause issues (and I don't think XEdit will let you save it due to that).
E: Compacting it to an ESL sort of has the same effect as removing a mod mid-game as all the records change... So generally speaking if you can safely remove the mod it can safely be compacted during a save game. Do note this is just from my experience, I'm not the authority on ESL flagging.
Thanks for the explanation! So if i installed a mod like this, and compact it before loading up the save, it's safe to do it. Especially if it's a "smaller" mod like this. I'm gonna give it a try.
