Do u use a chargen or some sort of facial animation replacer? I have all the requirements and followed the skin tutorial but the mouth looks different to me.
Sorry for the very late reply but I think I figured out the issue, I think the preset requires Extended Facial Sculpting though I could be wrong. If I'm right though you might want to add that to the requirements. Again great preset!

I believe I have found out why there is a rust face for many. the 6th step: "6) Delete "skintone.dds" from (Textures/Actors/Character/Character Assets/TintMasks) I find this helps with seams" appears to cause this, upon leaving this file in its place, there was no more dark face. Not sure exactly why this is, but hey, its works!
ive followed every single step, including the ones for identical skin and my character looks reminiscent of the albinaurics (frog people) from elden ring and ive got the rusty face problem even without the preset applied, what the heck did i do wrong lmao
the only mods i have that affect characters are the ones you put as requirements for this so idk if sending my modlist would do much good. i can tell you whatever but yeah, wanna use this preset but sadly i cannot
Did you download the HiPoly Faces REDUX - 2K Face texture compatibility pack and HiPoly Faces REDUX - Oni Cute Asian Face Parts Patch as well as the main file? The 2 patches would need to load after Oni and the main file.
If you did and you're still getting issues then try disabling the HiPoly faces mods as that and Oni Asian are the only mods that change the headparts. Oni is a strict requirement, but HiPoly is only optional.
If that doesn't work then if you send over your modlist I could try to see what's causing it.
I did, yeah. I'm not entirely sure what you mean by loading the patches after the main file. When I download them, they just contain textures/meshes folders, how do you order loose files like these? Did you pack them as well or is there some tool to do this? If so, I might need a moment lol. Additionally, Oni is the same, just a meshes folder.
I tried disabling the HiPoly stuff, and Oni, and it still ended up with pretty much the same face but the Oni parts didn't load, still spray-tanned and orange. I also disabled all the texture mods as well and that brought my normal face back to normal but loading the preset gave me the same orange frog staring back at me.
HiPoly Faces REDUX - Oni Cute Asian Face Parts Patch should've shown a conflict with Oni, you'll need HiPoly to win that conflict
When you tried disabling HiPoly you should've kept Oni, as that is a strict requirement and HiPoly isn't.
For skin issues, the only thing I can think of is to make sure you only downloaded Appealing Moles 2k Resolution and not the standard Appealing Moles??. If you followed the full skin guide then any other skin mods (makeup, scars, face paints, etc.) need to be in 2k, or they will cause the rusty face issues.
Anything else would just be guessing. Do you have CBBE installed? Female Neck Tweaks could maybe cause issues if installed? Other Brow mods? Weight set to 100?
Man I really appreciate the help here. I misread and uninstalled both HiPoly and Oni instead of just HiPoly, but even doing what you said properly still caused the same issue again. I also had, in fact, installed the standard Appealing Moles, though reinstalling the 2K didn't change things.
I've uninstalled every other mod that adds any kind of new brow or scar or etc, none of them had any 2K face compatibility I could suss out from the descriptions or download pages. I do have CBBE installed, but not Female Neck Tweaks. Curiously, out of all the conflicts I do have, none of them involve the mods for this. Could just be Mod Organizer being weird, not recognizing the conflicts? I checked the files myself and the only file that matched was a basefemaleheadchargen.tri, so I figured deleting that and using the one from HiPoly in an effort to remove any conflict between stuff would do it but yeah.
Lil lost, I might try starting up another mod profile and only install the mods for this, just to see if the conflicts are coming from my other mods somehow. I'll give you an update on that but whatever advice you have I'm all ears, this looks like a lovely preset and I'm stoked to get it working in my game, I'm thinking of swapping her for my Piper once I get it actually functional. edit: i was messing with it on another profile and managed to get it half working, then fully. thing is its still conflicting somewhere in my main modlist profile but ill go through myself and figure out what it is and post it here if i can and when i get the time.
