It shouldn't be as there's no separate item for male/female armor, only different models. The tags should apply to both genders but I never tested it with female characters. I also haven't been modding in a long while so I'd be unable to fix it if it doesn't.
Just what i needed, while it didn't look terrible on my character, it is nice to have it fixed, before, it just looked like her long hair was coming out from under the helmet which wasnt that bad, didnt really look like it was clipping but still its nice to have it fixed
