do meat bags properly respawn? it seems like theyre always empty
Edit: didnt check that the cell needed to be loaded into for the first time since mod installation, everything works well. Are there any future plans such as expanding it to med kits and such?
By mailboxes, do you mean like the little rusted out ones in Sanctuary and near Concord as the examples or the big ones with the blue tops all over the rest of the place? Gotta tell others who may complain about it, the latter isn't TR so I suppose that means it's considered as quest related.
Also 'respawn' seems off as in a way. Collector or generator maybe as I didn't scrap that trash can in Sanctuary, looted it once and left it alone for an in-game week and found out that it contained exactly that equivalent of what items it would give you for said week using your mod.
For anyone wondering why I'm 'complaining' (I'm mostly not) is because with vanilla respawns, say that threre's three items in a container. You take two items and leave the last one alone. Now, with the way the container works normally, the leftover item gets 'deleted' and replaced with new items.
Now, with the way this mod works so far is that it doesn't delete the item stored. Once its there, it stays there and then add in more from its respective item list. I tested it by placing a fatman and some legendary armor in the trashcan at Sanctuary and traveled around for the 12 hours. it needs to 'respawn'. Lo and behold, they were still there along with the list of items it normally has. Another 12 just make that list even BIGGER. More so when you have the perks for money and ammo included.
Now, I expect there's a couple of downsides to it. For example, it won't happen until after you first enter the area where you find it (the containers inflicted) so it'll still have its default items for now. The other problem is that it'll make the game remember ALL the containers you encounter and make sure that it's filled with items. For me, that...kind of got bloaty and slowed down my game in certain areas as the game has to remember the items you didn't pick up along with adding to what its supposed to do, so its advised not to use any weighty mods with it.
Some mailboxes are quest related, yes. I also don't touch locked containers. Vanilla respawn - it's good - but it happens only when you don't visit the cell for the respawn period. That's why i created this abomination. Containers start producing items only after they were loaded first - yes. It gets bloaty - idk. I have a reasonably powerful PC. plz tell me your PC's specs and the zones you had problems with - i can make a lite version with less containers TR-ed.
To put simply, other than my graphics card (Nvidia GTX 970), I hit the bare minimum of what Starfield could run on from what I hear about that upcoming games specs. As for my slowdown, about anywhere that has more than 6-8 containers that fit this mod. Considering how close Sanctuary, Red Rocket and Concord is, that's about 10 or so right there if I didn't delete the mirrors in Sanctuary and the cash, cigarette, milk and ice machines in Red Rocket. Then there's Lexington, outside of Diamond City (didn't check the inside yet) and Bunker Hill areas. Basically if its dense in buildings/ruins, there's at least one or two Trashcans, newspaper containers, milk machines, ice machines and cigarette machines in every other block.
I kind of dread entering Diamond City itself as I know there's at least three containers this mod targets and I don't know if I can clean them out since I rather not steal from Diamond City and kill a crowd to leave.
