Does anyone know how to get rid of the [Grenade] tag on the inventory screen? It messes up my inventory by having it in a section at the bottom I have to click into to equip. I just want it in my basic inventory.
Hey epic mod mate! Been waiting for something like this for quite a while! However, the impact sound is still shattering glass, are you going to add custom explosion sounds to the mod or do you (or anyone reading this) know of a mod that changes the explosion sound?
In Xedit, there should be a way to alter the sound descriptor files that are pulled. There should be a sound descriptor that has multiple descriptors in it, and all of those descriptors should have sound files in them. I'm using the M84 Flashbang mod as a reference, but it should translate. You should just be able to change the sound file pulled to either the regular molotov sound, or a grenade sound or whatever. Hope this helps (and works).
Nice looking model. A non-replacer version would be nice though, since real incendiary grenades aren't "military molotovs" - they're cans of thermite.
They aren't made for direct combat - they don't really explode, so the area of effect would be smaller than a molotov would be. Since they also use a grenade style timed fuse instead of just detonating on impact, they would be pretty easy for NPC's to avoid. They would however, do a ridiculous amount of damage at the point of detonation, since thermite burns hot enough to melt steel.
I can remember at least one instance in Fallout 4 where BoS troops scuttled their armor because they couldn't bring it with them, but didn't want it to be recovered by raiders. Jamming one in the fusion core port would slag the back of the frame and leave the whole thing useless, so it would make sense for power armor troops to have one in their inventory,
