Is there any conflict with Better Settlers?

The two Covenent settlers (one male, one female) are not picking up the names this mod is adding to them. They actually get the name of the template actor they're based on. I've changed that back to "Settler" so they aren't both named "Sean", but I'm confused on why they aren't picking up their name. Form IDs for them are 00063564 and 00063564, and the default template actor Form ID is 00063561. I'm guessing I need to remove one of the template actor forms, but I'm not sure which one.

Check the template flags, Just because it's got a template, doesn't mean it will use everything from it.

Yep, thanks. It was the base data template. I had to remove that from the two covenant settlers for them to use their UNPC Lite names and not the name from the default template. It's also applied to the workers at the slog, so currently they aren't picking up the UNPC Lite names.

Is there any inspiration behind the names? (I haven't used the original Unique NPCs mod so not sure if you just used the same names for NPCs as they did). I met Vault Tec Rep Henri Arneuil and was wondering how he got such a name lol

I recently installed it and got serious stutter on cell loads... anybody else experienced it?
If yes, is there an alternative? I am generally looking for a mod to add variety to NPCs - especially on the weight/height sliders.

This mod doesn't cause that, you have problems elsewhere in your load order.

Yeah, the core problem is still that the game just isn't optimised well enough to add 6gb of alternate skin textures without there being consequences. And given that unless you're stripping NPCs naked alternate skin textures aren't actually that noticeable, that is a performance hit that is better spent on more impactful mods.

I'll leave it up to the users to decide that. Besides without AWKCR theres even less of an impact. And people can now tailor the mod however they like using this as a baseline.

Anyone know if this will work nicely with Simple Settlers?

This changes existing NPCs. That adds new ones.

Fresh Facials does the same thing, but covers more of the game, and has a patch that extends coverage to it.

Does anyone have any tips for switching from the original mod to this mid playthrough like waiting x amount of days for npcs to reset? I tried to uninstall Unpcs and got a bunch of invisible raiders, traders, and such. I know I should start a new game for something like this, but if I keep restarting, I'm never going to see the end of any of the longer storylines.

You shouldn't remove large mods like the original UNPCS mid playthrough. That mod is just too big to safely remove.

Thanks for the hard truth. Too bad because Unique Npcs is the only mod I have that makes me keep Akwcr and I'm pretty sure its the mod causing slight lag. I enjoy a number of your mods, but I guess I'll have to wait until the upcoming Fallout 4 update wrecks half of my mod list to use Unpcs lite.

Hi, does the mod give settlers names as well? I've had two settlers move in that are just named "settler" so I am not sure if i've installed the mod correctly?

This doesn't modify generic settlers, only unique NPCs.

if you want named selttlers, go grab Alias Settlers.
