- Adjusted fake interiors (outside open building) reverb params
- New NPC Footstep Overhaul patch includes footstep descriptors that were not in the original, also added ghoul and supermutant footsteps and bumped the volume so they are mixed a bit better with the normal footstep audio as they are used at the same time. More squelchy ghoul steps, heavier supermutant steps.
- Added quick patch for Melee Overhaul - should have covered everything but if theres any issues let me know.
- Will update the ESL version to the same when i get time.
-
Last thing is if anyone knows how to make double barrel shotgun use the shell casings audio for spent shells after reloading let me know.
Currently it doesnt drop shells like combat shotgun and this always bothered me.
Adding audio to the reload means it doesnt match material location based on wood, metal etc so would need to be tied to physics sounds.
- Updated sliders to be uniform, fixed some spellings.
- If using with persistant sliders I have now added volume sliders for NPC Footstep Overhaul and Physics Sound Overhaul so they can be adjusted manually.
- Few minor tweaks
Known issues
Going between certain areas can be jarring contrast as one might have large reverb assigned due to room type and the other very little, again not sure if there is a way to smooth out the tranistion for this. (If anyone knows HMU ill fix)
-Any bugs or issues please raise and ill try look at them.
sorry bro, FO4 edit of the "realistic reverb and ambience - ESL version" includes: RRAAO - NPC Footstep Overhail Patch.esp (in which reported as missing master "enemy footstep overhaul.esp
I don't even download the file : RRAAO - NPC Footstep Overhaul Patch.
please take a look why "RRAAO - NPC Footstep Overhaul Patch" is inside the "realistic reverb and ambience - ESL version"

Do we need to rename the esp or the archive after deleting ambientWasteland.esp? Because the required files are in a ba2 file that has a different name than this mods esp.
Makes all the audio real quiet unless you're looking directly to the direction it's coming from. Uff... Feel like having non-service related hearing loss. (Next gen.)
This happens to me as well. If I turn even a few degrees away from any sound source it quickly drops off and is completely gone if I turn 90 degrees from the source.
edit: Go into your Playback Devices for output and then find your main audio device. Go to its properties and then under Advance untick Enable Audio Enhancements. I also unticked Exclusive mode. This fixed the issue for me.
I got it fixed by going to Windows Audio settings --> Headphones --> Spatial Sound from Off to Windows Sonic for Headphones. Apparently this will simulate "realistic 3D environment" according to the description.
Found a fix for this, when i googled for it a bit time ago and does work perfectly fine for me.
It isn't the mod or anything, it's a setting on PC that seems doesn't play well with some games?! Idk (Noob speculations at their best^^)...
Anyways, what you can do is following: Open (Windows) Settings > System > Sound > choose the active Speakers you use and click on it > then go to “Audio Enhancements" and turn it off.
Make sure you do this for the right speakers you have active. Done.
(I also have that 3D sound option thingy right below turned off too)
Should now have you hear everything just fine around you. No more spoken dialogues you miss coming from your back^^
used to be my favorite mod and re downloaded after a fresh install, now the sliders are not showing and mod is not working. very confused, installed via vortex
from what i've read before there is a lmit on how many fully functional sliders you can have. if you installed a mod like true storms, like i did, you already have 2 additionallsliders on sound and iirc any slider above 6, changes made on volume wont be saved. there is a mod that fixes and allows more sliders, but idk, personally i did decide not to use bc reasons of what i read on the mod (i still see the 2 sliders of that mod here though. just doesnt save the volume changes and is gone after reload game). i'm quite a newb, but still, hope this helps...even if it gives you a hint on investigating it further. best luck man.
If you are using other mods that add sliders or using the extra patches that add sliders for the patched mods. You need to use Persistant Volume Sliders at the same time.

This will move all the vanilla sliders to MCM menu and then all the mod sliders into the main menu audio menu.
I wanted to ask if I can use this on a fresh pure Next-Gen playthrough without breaking it? (not downgraded) - and just to clear; for ESL version am I supposed to delete Ambient Wasteland.esp or just let your mod load after and replace it? a lil confused about it.
Point one, I assume it works on next-gen (i haven't tried though) i don't think they changed anything in terms of where audio loads and those values so it should 'just work'.
Point 2 - Yeah so the mod esl uses the sounds from ambient wasteland but only want to load certain ones and changes the values of some. So install ambient wasteland, delete the esp. Then load RRAAO on top.
I realized that with this mod it stopped having the ghoul sounds that i guess come from True storms, when there is radiation weather? Usually with the ghouls incoming there is the intimidating ghoul howl thingy you hear at distance, when they are triggered by rad storms. But as said, didnt had that sound twice :/ Since ive read you use True storms yourself, is it just on my end?
Also, i realized it also stopped a few sounds from Mutant Menagerie - Life finds a way. Some animal ambient sound. Any chance for a compitability patch?
I was wrong, this mod doesnt cause issues with both things mentioned and both still work as intended.

i have no idea what enemy footstep overhaull.esp is and can't find that on nexus.
You only need this patch if you have Giammotto's Footstep Overhaul mod
