My Wasteland Textures

At the moment I'm trying to shape my Wasteland as rusty and decayed as possible. So far I haven't found any satisfying textures for the Vault Crates. After 210 years in soggy bunkers and warehouses, one would think that simple transport and storage containers not made of quality materials and not designed to last for centuries would have more than a little patina on them.

The textures are a test attempt.... Personally, I'm pleased with the results relative to the amount of work involved....

Update:
I tried the rust texture on the Vault shelf and table.... Well... I like it. Also tried wood textures on parts of the Vault table... see screenshots

After 210 years, the paint is now also off the scaffolding...

A nuclear fire, nuclear winter, global warming, wind, weather, sandstorms, acid rain, and an overworked Abbot who can't keep up with protective paint jobs because he only ever brushes on that one wall, have made the Road Bridges what they are today.... rusty...
Well... who dares to climb up first, when a bunch of super mutants are having a round of sack races on a completely rusted steel skeleton?

Burn the bridges... Copper Bridge?!? What does Nate tell in the opening credits? '... years of waste led to a pronounced shortage of raw materials...' + a world war...?!? Copper Bridge was canceled.... Cast iron will do and the rust is free...

First rusty Buildings Parts added.

Rusty Buildings two textures corrected

06.07.2022
First test of rusty Hightech Textures added. This set is experimental and work in progress. This set contains so many textures that I couldn't yet check them all in the game for their appearance and functionality. Also some textures are still missing on metal buildings... these are for sure in the folder 'Skyscraper'... but I am not that far yet...

Improved high-tech rust textures added. As far as I have seen the textures in the base game/Boston, I already like them very much. Ok... who is the first crazy guy with a rocket launcher and a minigun to have a firefight party with crazy raider-mutant-gunners in a completely structurally weakened, rusty skyscraper?
New screenshots added.

Really now Bethesda? I thought 'Skyscraper' contained the rest of the high-tech buildings... but only 4 textures... thanks... Edited and attached to Hightech... new zip available for download. No idea where these textures occur. Maybe I will find out... but they should fit to the rest of the rust.

Path correction on MWT- Rusty Buildings

Rusty Greebs/ Standpipes added. The statement 'I have rust on the pipe...' should be completely re-evaluated in this context.

14.07.2022
Rusty Hightech reworked... the rust of the metal buildings is much darker now.... see new screenshots

Rusty Interiors Hightech added + 2 Texture Files Interiors Industrial and Utility for the Elevator Cabin

1st AIO version of all my previous single MWT files

17.07.2022
Renamed Rusty Interiors Hightech to Rusty Interiors and complete Interios Industrial and Utility added... see new screenshots

AIO updated with complete Interios Industrial and Utility

Finally back online... I have reworked most of the metal building textures in the 'Buildings' folder and only left out the ones that are pre-war textures.... The identification of the textures what is metal and what is not, as well as 'is this pre-war or not?' is partly the plague and Bethesda does not make it necessarily easier by the texture designations. I started a new save game and everything looked fine in the prologue.... except for the Vault Containers... there are no pre- or post-war textures. I also reworked most of the high-tech textures again.
In the future I will publish the textures only as 'All in One', because there are now too many individual files that are partly connected to each other.

29.08.2022
I desaturated the rust layer 50% and now the rust is no longer a warm brown but a cold one. I have reworked 99% of the textures with this desaturated brown (see screenshots). Personally I find that the desaturated textures go better with other vanilla and rust textures.... but decide for yourself. Have fun trying it out...
