You could try making a mod that edits the vanilla ghoul race, that way we wouldnt need patches for the original mod to work with other mods that have ghouls in them anymore. BUT I am not sure what kind of unforseen consequences that may lead to.
Was thinking of doing that. Only problem is that Oswald would require a new texture, which I don't have the skills to do. I think FriedTurkey had a skin for Oswald in the first version of Classic Ghouls, but we're not allowed to reupload un-modified assets. Basically, I'd have to require people to download both CGR and the original Classic Ghouls in order for something like that to be created, and that would just take up extra space for people.
He shouldn't be big. I'll double-check something in the file and see if something didn't get overridden. The quest should still progress normally though.
[Update] Checked the file and it looks fine on my end. His height is set to 0.825, which is the normal height for children. It could be something with your load order. Perhaps you have a mod like Mortal Youths or Killable Children that's changing his settings?
