The ReadMe file tells NVidia users to enable the [Display] instruction "iNumHWThreads=16" in Fallout4.ini and Fallout4custom.ini. But that line is not included in either .ini file. Was this changed?
Thanks for the question (tip)! ... Yes, in the newest tweaked ini files, there wasn't created the parameter anymore used the latest BethINI. Maybe - I think - it is obsolete now, because on some systems (include mine) it can make trouble. The previous version have these parameter, and I've forgotten to erase the info in Readme of latest ini file version, sorry. To be honest, it is better to ignore this feature now!!! ... But feel free (with backup before) to check additional custom tweaks in these gme ini files, if you want!?!
That line refers to how many cores your processor has. T'was the one you had to change in FO3/FNV to enable them to make at least some use of more processing power and RAM than they were originally designed for^^.
In FO4 it works not so fine as in Skyrim LE and SE and FO3/FNV you've said!!! ... But it's your choice how to tweak your game. ... Feel free with this!!! ... And in longer testing you maybe will notice, that some tweakings can be obsolete now!?! ... For this tweak it happen nothing, because the game uses only one core configurated by Bethesda!?! ... Crazy is it, that in Skyrim is the same, but it seems to work better with the tweak added!?! ... You can also read about it in many forums!!!
It can be very performance intensive. I use these combo instead. It is also a matter of taste. The mod is very cool and I'd used it in the beginning to mod FO4, but ...
Test your game with default ini files. If it is gone, you maybe will have an issue with my tweaked game ini files. ... But I don't really think about this reason caused this bug. ... Regarding your "Nvidia Control Panel Settings --> Antialiasing: 4x" I am kinda sure that does not work in FO4 (or most newer games actually). It is mostly for DX9 games, whereas newer games use deferred rendering, which does not support MSAA, which is why they all use FXAA or TAA now a days.
Then leave it please. At the moment I do not use it. But as I have written is that it is optonal and can be different on each system. Many guides are also different you will get a tonne of infos - and which is the right on the end - so sadly, but true, am sorry!?!
I've had issues with this because in fallout4custom.ini you need to change Voices_de.ba2 to Voices.ba2 and yes you need to change it to Voices.ba2 and not Voices_en.ba2 change this as well in fallout4.ini andunder the category [General] inside fallout4custom.ini change sLanguage=de to sLanguage=en with this, voices should work. If you're having a hard time following, just grab my files instead and replace yours if you grabbed my files make sure to replace sD3DDevice="NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPU" inside fallout4prefs.ini with your graphics card name and you should be good to go resolution in my files is set for screen resolution 1920x1080 so change that if it ain't that.
edit: Astra2000 was kind enough to let me upload the files with english properly fixed into the inis so there shouldn't be that much configuring now.
Think, it is not caused by my ini files!?! ... But am not really sure, am sorry!?! ... But this here about section archive maybe can help!?! Another way could be the following with replace all these to fix it!?!
If u intend to upload config inis for Fallout 4 - DO IT for english configuration not DE since sLanguage=de which probably fck up game and probably that is why there is no voice (PS. idk what u did but game looks like it simulates faster than it is locked on for example I have 58 fps and game does "work" faster by the looks of it)
Found this in Fallout4.ini... SResourceArchiveList=Fallout4 - Voices_de.ba2 <<<< this should be for english otherwise do big red description about that this configs are for DEUTCHE players only
