Hi all, thanks for all the interest! One thing to be aware of is that if you progress with the BoS and get to the point where you build the big teleporter, make sure to leave a big space somewhere (not a lot of room anywhere lol) on some CLEAN FLAT ground with no floors or rugs or debris. Otherwise you'll be tormented with having to wreck a big chunk of your building like I did lol.
Also note, that dumb teleporter thing... It won't snap together unless it really is on clean flat ground, no rugs or anything. (I seem to remember getting it to work on a built wooden floor once, but then it wouldn't when tried again.) If you're having trouble getting the teleporter pad to lock into the giant Tesla tripod thing, move it around and make sure the ground is clear.
FYI if someone should install tihs: 999 or 100 defense rating does not mean guarantee "successfully defended" against random Raider attacks (lame vanilla mechanics). SSK Settlement Attack System fixes that issue and makes the game acutally fun. In addtion, vanilla has a resource cap and there's no point to produce 999 or whatever food/water. unless one has Uncapped Settlement Surplus. Regardless the mod author made an effort to fix another Bethestda "feature" which is cool.
I've used this mod for years but always forgot which mod it came with. Anyways, my question is a bit different: does the food and water provided by the pump count towards the food and water provided to raiders outposts from vassal settlements?
This mod didn't do it for me. The fact that there is already a building saves a lot of time but the actual build limit is right at the doors instead of where the green line is. I couldn't build any defense except inside the building. You can tcl up to the roof but you can't build anywhere close to the edge in most areas. I used something less complicated on previous playthroughs I am going back to that.
Build High Expanded Settlements This fixed that problem for me, with no issues. I've used it for ages. I love what I can do at the airport with it. Used in conjunction with this mod makes them both better.
1) Gather weapons 2) Drop weapons on the ground in ANY settlement 3) Enter build mode and Scrap said weapons laying on the ground in your settlement 4) Watch the build limit bar decrease in the settlement you are in.

Edit : Unless I misunderstood your "build limit" inquiry, then disregard my comment.
Doing a Nuclear Winter playthrough and kept getting frostbite while building Boston Airport because the limited vanilla workbench wouldn’t let me build the heaters I otherwise rely on to avoid this specific issue. With this mod, that’s not a problem anymore, so thank you!
"There is a theoretical possibility that Bethesda had a very good reason for putting a limited Workbench here, and using the full one could maybe, possibly, screw something up somewhere sometime. Everything looks okay so far on my end. "
I think the reason for that limitation was so players wouldn't build much in that place so when they reached a certain part of the main quest they could build a plot item there without having to worry about settlement limits.
Update* As of august 2021 this mod is working perfectly , no problems on my end! Thanks for this awesome mod!
Pat on the back for mentioning Fallout on the Commodore. A history lesson for those that don't know, that's where this all started. The first words under the flap on the back of the first Fallout game were, "Do you remember Wasteland?" Yeah. Played the heck out of it on my Commodore 64.
Well i can't seem to add any furniture because it isn't even available. Everything else is though (food, structures, artillery, water etc). I used both the water pump and the workbench at first and then just the workbench but still nothing.
Anyone know a possible solution to this?
PS. I have finished the game with the Brotherhood (i don;t know if that has anything to do with it or not)
There is a mod called Workshop menu missing tabs fix, here is the link, https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/22205 , the page gives directions, but you download and install. When in game go to a chem workbench, you can craft a fix for which ever tab is missing in your build menu. Close workbench, open pip-boy and consume it just like a stim pack. Exit game and disable the mod. Go back to game and your tab/tabs are back. Make sure to disable, I keep it for emergencies.

Other than that, no probs so far.
Had to wreck half the building lol, oops:
