Version 1.1 includes the unique version of the Ballistic Fist - Two Step Goodbye. This weapons has received the same treatment as the Ballistic Fist. I didn't like how the chosen vanilla explosion looked, so I made some adjustments and edits, like removing the smoke. I also made the critical effect explosion do damage through an enchantment. The magic effect of this enchantment damages only actors hostile to the player. If you don't like this feature, then use FO4Edit to delete the override of 00DCTwoStepGoodbyeCritExplosion "Two-Step Goodbye Critical" [EXPL:FE000839] from the Explosion category of the patch esp.
I couldn't find better way to attach the "explosion" to the target. Currently it spawns at a fixed vertical position, above ground. At least it's not restricted only to NPCs with chest bone. For now it's the best I can do.
Thank you for fixing the Classic Unarmed Pack when they couldn't do it themselves. I reported the disappearing Ballistic Fists and they replied with "The ground object works fine for us" and left it at that, when others reported it as well. Somewhat disheartening.
But that doesn't mean that I can't include it in the next update. I'll try to test things around. The question that bothers me is - should I also try to make the explosion from the critical effect harmless to friendlies and player?
I will try to rework things and make it happen. Edit: I'm thinking to first add the unique variation of the fist in the patch. And after that to release a version without the shotgun shell restrictions.
Interesting, this may be the first FO4 mod I've seen successfully use ammo for a melee weapon. There's a lot we could put to use from this, stuff like the Chainsaws and Plasma Swords using MF cells, maybe the classic FO1/2 Power Fist which used Energy Cells as well being adapted to use MF cells.
As a huge Ballistic Fist shill, I appreciate this humble addition of yours.
The weapon is not really using ammo. I'm using the weapon enchantment to run a script. The script is responsible for "spawning" the effects(sound and light) and removes one bullet of selected ammo type from the player's inventory.
Grill addressed general permissions for all of their mods in this tweet, since they have retired from modding.
Basically you can make patches and the like, just don't include any unedited files within the mod, so you should be able to upload it as a patch instead of a resource

Thanks and you are welcome.
