I think that this is important in general to know and keep in mind.
From leonkeen about Ask permission to share files

I used your textures but still the fps was not smooth. So I compress the textures and now I am really enjoying it. The Ram is just 4GB or less. So I randomly got stuck for a while like 4 min. I assume that is because some shadow and partical. Although now I can play it, in some places like north church etc, it has to stuck for 30s, I still do not why(maybe too many particals?). BTY, I am using nvidia gt 550m. Anyway, when first playing Fallout 4, I downloaded your file and played for some time. Thanks for your efforts. May I ask your permission to share these files being compressed?Or if I sent these files to you? I compress them into 64*64 etc. ---this is also posted in the POSTS.

    This is my answer:

I am going to tell you something that probably you already know. There are other people that made other retextures to diferent sizes like the Optimization project, like the Landscape and the Vivid series. I didn't download their files, so I didn't use and resize their textures and in case that I would have done that, I wouldn't have posted anything in their mod's pages and too much less share their mods modified by me, as an example case that I would have taken and modified the files that they modified and worked with.

Instead to take other people files, I just did what they did, in my case I have done this quite earlier when Fallout 4 was released as you might know aswell because later on other retexture pack mods from other modders came out. So, I did my retextures for myself from scratch, taking the vanilla files and modify them by myself for myself and then I took the decision to share them.

In case that I would be interested to work on something based on another person's mod, I would take certain protocols like attempting to have contact at first hand with the mod's author, explain my goal and set and agreement quite earlier and before announcing anything to other people. Because it is the best protocol manner to handle these kind of things. In case that I download a mod and I modify a certain and specific mod for my needs, I have done it, I would not release it as my own mod and too much less telling in public that I have done something that seems better or like a miracle before being respectful about certain protcols.

I repeat again, I haven't download the other resturexture mods from other authors and modify them. I took the vanilla files and I worked on them from scratch. I don't know the other modder's retextures projects. I haven't download them, I haven't used them, I don't care what they have done, I don't care about their files and too much less, I am not interested and I should not use their work time on those files, not just for my need, to create something that would seem my own and expose it and make it public. What I have done is fro myself based on my own time and effort without taking anything from other modder's work time and too much less without taking respect about the protocol procedure for this kind of matter.

Hello! Thanks so much for this wonderful mod! I have a bug where the reflections don't work on stuff that should be chrome-like such as the 10mm Pistol or some chrome robot parts or even the toasters. The bug is global and it happened after i installed this mod. When the reflections show up on a random time that i run the game, they look like iridescent coating like a purple goo covering everything that should show reflections like weapons, armors and such. Could you please tell me which pack contains the reflection textures that got replaced (if you replaced them). If you want me to include photos please tell me.

Not need for screenshots. If you have issues that feel unconfortable for your gameplay, you could simply remove them and you will solve the problem.

This mod's purpose is not to make the game shiny and prettier. I invite you read the long description so you understand correctly the purpose as also I invite you to read the comments from other users in the previous pages in this comment section.

Thanks for the reply but im not talking about the reflections that make the game look more awesome or something. I'm talking about weapons and items missing the textures that make them look silver. Also in most Bethesda games i know, a missing texture is replaced by a purple texture like it happens with my reflections. Was the removal of the silver texture from weapons and stuff intentional? If not please tell me in which pack these textures are included to reinstall it.

    Thanks.

You are having some other sort of problem. Please think correctly and logically. If I was "missing a texture" in my packages then the vanilla texture will be loaded.

I said again, think correctly about what you are saying and think correctly and logically based on technical matter because you are presenting a technical matter without real knowledge. If a texture was missing in my package then the vanilla would be loaded. So, if you are still missing a texture in game, you have done something with the vanilla texture packages or the loose texture files in your client are corrupted.

You are making a huge mistake and please think correctly before you so fastly and ilogically call something as bug when it is a problem on your side and mostly due the lack of knowledge in your part. You are alrady wiritng something that does not make sense and it is ilogical.

I invite you to read all the comments made in this comment section and search for other comments descripting your issues or for some other user writing the quite ilogical "missing textures" problem that you so call as a "bug". Please think a few more times about your manner to think and process this problem as also learn more so you can finally see your mistake and solve your problem in your side. It is in your side and it is not a bug.

Just to make sure I'm not an idiot after I've downloaded the 9 files I just add them individually to NMM as if they were individual mods right? (add from file each individual file) or do I need to put them all together so how?

It does not matter. Each package content has diferent files, one with the others. You can even check this if you open every compressed package. It is something quite basic to deal with and nothing technical dificult. Even the Nexus website provides a viewer function to view the content of compressed files and with it you can check that each compressed package has diferent files. So, you can apply simple logic with simple basic knowledge, these are just compressed files.

Mostly your problem is the common problem that many have and do along with many comments in here together with you. If you have cared to reac the long description then you would find out the purpose of the packages, why the nine files and the number. I invite you to read the long description for information that won't hurt and will guide you better with these questions of yours.

Good day, dear mode creator and other users! I have some troubles with this mod. I install it correctly and add "TEXTURE\" to right place to ini file. And i saw no diffternce. I delete texture string-no diffrence, even reinstall all packages-no difference. Sadly, but this mod doesnt work in my case. Also I've already read about troubles with beta patches, and i dont think i install any of it. In any case, can y give me some advice, how to fix this, and tell plz, what is the latest version of F4, that certenly works with this mod.

Search for the Nexus wiki guide about how to properly install mods in Fallout 4. You have done some mistakes.

Well, if your comment's purpose is to say that this mod is the one provoking issues then you are quite wrong. Besides that it is quite ilogical that you might experience these issues with this mod, it is even more ilogical that you come here to say that you "unistall this mod" (which are just loose files) and after "uninstalling you are having issues". Shouldn't you look for the real problem's source or sources as also analyze your activities and find out your mistakes with the game client?

may you do a b2a version if thats possible?

EDIT: Nevermind, while i'm creating it myself i noticed that you would have to upload vanilla files which is obviously not allowed

Weak and poor reading skills from your side. The installation guide does not mention any esm or esp files because those don't exist and you could even check the content of the pacakge compressed files.

You ask a question and and write a bad comment and you even don't realise that it is the fault of your poor and lack of reading and thinking. Learn and care to read correct as also learn to pay attention to file contents before you unleash your poor thinking process.

    PLEASE ANSWER HERE
I have no update and no installed dlc . But I thought of playing all dlc 's, if he could. Because updates 1.4 and 1.5 , improved game graphics . I changed the fallout4.ini with some command lines , which improved a bit the gameplay , here it is: https://steamcommunity.com/app/377160/discussions/0/364041517012147849/

But at times it happened here:

    My Settings :
    core i3 4005u
    4GB
    Windows 8.1
    intel hd graphics
My question is : Should I install all the packs ? In what order ?

There is not any specific order. That is why I didn't write about any specific installation order in the long description and all of the packages cover most of the base and DLC textures.

Question: When install this mod what setting for textures to put to get the best out of it, high, medium, low?
Also, does this mod need to be repackaged to BA2 like optimization project, or just decompress to data folder and that's it? No need for .esp either?

According to the author, all you need to do is to extract all packages (and also the DLCs if you have it) to the game's DATA folder. Once done, no further action is necessary.

You can, if you want, repackage it to BA2 for a neater structure. However, there are some comments saying that it performed better unpacked. I'm currently downloading it and I'll test both unpacked and packed versions to see which one is better. If there isn't any noticeable difference, I'll keep the BA2 as I love things neatly packaged into one.

Just a thought though, what about a 256 verison? I mean I myself am not desperate for it as I have Ordenador (though it did take a while to run) would help performance even more without going to the extreme like that ultra low texture pack some uploaded which is a crazy low 64.

If someone went/retex'd to Runescape Graphics -solid colors- and then used Brush Techniques from Photoshop to look like FireWatch, that would make that mod a bonafide Retexture Mod, partna.

But 0.25K Graphics...I would have to wonder how Author did this first, cause I'm pretty its not like taking a bunch of textures and just Dropping this into a Program and then just reduce the size like what MS Paint does, 50% Stretch...those days or Right his own program to do it for him...most likely done by hand through 3D Modelling Software.

@Lukong1515 - Actually that's pretty much what you do with texture resizing. Model
s and textures are separate files. You can use something like Photoshop or GIMP to scale the the dimensions of the texture file, or more easily use Ordenador which you just point it to a folder of choice and only have the resizing option set and let it go to town. The option even has a lowend cap you can set so it will ignore any textures under say 1024. It only goes as low as 512 with that though. You'd have to be mindful of what file sizes your reducing if you wanted to go down to 256 as you would have to do it without the cap thing.
