Not sure why but this Mod appears to be broken for me. The quest marker simply follows the character or doesn’t appear at all. I’ve also looked all around Thickets and cannot find her. I’m wondering if it’s because I’ve already met and named her prior to installing this Mod. If so, then it should be mentioned on the main page. I will happily do some testing and update my results if another player could do the same. :)
Probably unrelated, but I never have more than one dog in a settlement. Last I checked, having two dogs makes one of them claim a doghouse while the other just stands in front of it like he's waiting his turn to get in. Even if you have other doghouses build, they ignore it for some reason.
If you ever revisit this mod, could you try and drop the "Adopt" option? I don't know why, but of your recruitment mods, this is the one that gives me the most issues. It works properly ~30% of the time.
Alternative outcomes are: The dog can be interacted with and after healing he won't have the "Adopt" option. The dog can't be interacted with at all. The dog can be interacted with and after healing he will have the "Adopt" option, which doesn't do anything. The dog can be interacted with and after healing he will have the "Adopt" option, which prompts me to assign him to a settlement, after which the dog just stands there with the quest being finished.
I know it is narratively nice and makes sense to have a dedicated "Adopt" button, but it seems to be the source of many issues related to settlement assigning. And yes, I even placed the mod at the very bottom of my load order, below Start Me Up and Transfer Settlements. Nothing works, it just is bugged.
I'm deeply sorry. I learned that the Hardcore Health Overhaul mod was the reason that some of your recruitment mods broke. Wounded Dog, Dixie, Phyllis Daily, Jenny and Virgil were the only ones I found until I got tired of making compromises and tried finding what was going on. I don't know if there's even a way to patch this, but I'm gonna try loading all your recruit mods after HHO and see what happens.
Dog is where is supposed to be, but can't be adopted when dogmeat is your active companion. And when I told dogmeat to go home, he instead attacked the stray dog outright. Had to kill the poor Sparky/Mutt/Butthole to actually end this titanic, neverending battle between them :(
Just a quick note. There are three dogs on top of the overpass near Jamaica plains. Alissa, kate, and kyle at a raid camp. There are no raiders there just the dogs....
Seems to work alright, except that the quest marker is completely broken for me... On the map, it just follows my character around, and on the compass, it points me endlessly to nowhere. I wound up using console commands to move her to me and was able to recruit her that way. I did install this mid-save, right after encountering her naturally in the commonwealth.
ALSO, while she walks around the settlement just fine, she doesn't seem to be able to use doghouses. She hovers around them but never lays down.
I recently realized the dog doesn't use the doghouse too. I've been trying to figure out how to make it use the doghouse with xEdit, but my knowledge is limited so I haven't figured it out just yet.
