Version 1.7
- Adjusted Mine projectile speeds. Ballistic Explosives will now have a speed of 1400 while Energy Explosives have a speed of 1200. Why? It's a strange quirk in vanilla projectile speeds but is inconsistently done. I made them consistent.
- Sound detections events have been made more consistent. Nuclear explosions such as the Quantum, Cherry, and Nuka one will be the loudest.
- Increased maximum number of mines and grenade spawns from 2 to 3. Vanilla has a mixture of 2 and 3.
- Removed the additional and inconsistent stagger bonus on the Grenades / Mine itself. This only affects directly throwing and hitting someone with the projectile, not the explosion.
- Smart Fragmentation Grenade weight lowered to 0.5 for consistency.
- Fixed the Fragmentation Mine having 50 less explosion radius and damage than it's Grenade counterpart.
- Fragmentation Mine Mole Rats now do realistic damage and create a loud sound event rather than a normal one. From 50 damage to 300 (2 Mines.) With the actual Mine's explosion radius of 500 compared to vanilla 450.
- Cyro Mine has been renamed to Cryogenic Mine for consistency. Value increased to 125 like the vanilla Grenade.
- Fixed the Cryogenic Mine having 50 less explosion radius than it's Grenade counterpart.
- Plasma Mine value has been increased to 135 like the vanilla Grenade.
- Nuke Mine has been added as NPC usable and renamed to Nuka Mine for consistency with the Grenade / wiki lore.
- Nuka grenades and Nuka mines will no longer knockdown.
- Blast Mine reworked to match the Fallout 76 wiki better.
- Fixed Blast Mine crafting recipe that was accidently creating Plasma Grenades. Should show up in the Mine category as well.
- Caltrops and Bear traps have been reverted to closer to vanilla behavior. Instead, being more utility / debilitation focused than damage like I previously changed them to.
- Caltrops can now be disarmed, but not picked back up. Done because Caltrops creates multiple projectiles, meaning you could easily spam and disarm them to multiply how many you have.
- Caltrops and Bear Traps will now spark when destroyed.
- Caltrops and Bear Traps speed have been slowed down and NPC's will need to be closer to use them.
- Basic Caltrops will now cause a small bleed of 3 damage for 5 seconds. Poisoned Caltrops will cause both the bleed and poison for 5 seconds.
- Reduced spread of Caltrops projectiles when throwing them by half.
- Updated LIF patch.
-
Version 1.6
- Still an optional update, remain on 1.4 if you want standalone.
- More level lists optimizations, including allowing vendors to sell grenades / mines at the same level they spawn on enemies.
- Optimized player placed bear traps conditions to make sure the person touching them isn't the player or companion before triggering. Note, traps placed by npc's, including your companion will trigger if anyone steps on them.
- Added an extra LL Raider record to subtly help increase the variety of grenades / mines on them from mostly frags and molotovs. But it's a low rate to remain lore friendly.
- Updated LIF patch.
-
Version 1.5
- This is an optional update; you don't have to update if you prefer the old versions.
- Please note, if updating to 1.5 and using the standalone versions, you will lose all throwable mines. Please sell them to a vendor before updating to prevent bugs.
- General: Dropped support for the standalone versions named throwable. Reason being too many unnecessary duplicates and compatibility problems.
- General: Dropped support for non- dlc versions. Reason being, there isn't a reason you shouldn't have the dlc by now this far in the games life cycle. DLC has been incorperated into the main plugin.
- General: Reduced plugin count to 1. 2 if choosing to enable the blast mine.
- General: Added Leveled Item Framework patch.
- General: Optimized level lists for better compatibility with other mods that add grenades and mines. Mines from this mod may appear less often as a compromise.
- General: Reverted all grenade spawn levels to vanilla restrictions.
- Blast Mine: Fixed vanilla plus version not having the correct explosion record. This bug did not exist in the standalone version.
- Blast Mine: Lowered level spawning requirement to 13.
- Blast Mine: Lowered duration of fire hazard to 8 seconds. But increased radius from 150 to 300.
- Bear Traps: Added a condition check to both bear traps. Checks if the target is currently a companion and prevents it from triggering if they are.
-
Version 1.4
- Let me know through feedback if the adjustments are considered good. I didn't initially think about Survival, until I went to play around and test these on it. But I think I've come to a pretty good balance between vanilla Fallout 4 and Survival mode with damage.
- - Blast Mine: Changed damage formula to 190 explosive, 3 energy damage for 15 seconds. This method allowed me to avoid creating an additional spell that would only ever be used once and avoid bloat. Correctly deals 235 damage like Fallout 76.
- - Blast Mine: Increased radius of fire hazard to 150 like the Molotov. Duration is 15 seconds like Fallout 76. Makes burning enemies easier. Burn stacks by extending the duration.
- - Blast Mine: Decreased damage of fire to 3 over 15 seconds. Changed to give you a chance of out healing the damage in survival.
- - Blast Mine: Fixed missing initial burn effect.
- - Blast Mine Vanilla +: Fixed Mine level list having the weapon directly placed instead of the level list entry. Resulted in always getting a single instance, instead of level scaled multiple.
- - Bear Traps: Fixed not giving proper damage values to NPCs. Damage lowered to 80. Was over performing for a cheap low-level weapon.
- - Bear Trap Standalone: Fixed not having the proper activator get placed when triggered.
- - Bear Traps: Range restored to vanilla, slightly less chance of companions accidently triggering them. Sadly, there is no way for me to stop this without duplicating the traps and making an npc exclusive version while the player version won't damage companions.
- - Bleeding Bear Trap: Lowered damage to 60. Lowered bleed damage to 2 over 30 seconds. Changed to give you a chance of out healing the damage in survival. Max potential is 120.
- - Caltrops: Lowered damage to 20 x 5. Max potential is 100. Was over performing for a cheap low-level weapon.
- - Poisoned Caltrops: Lowered damage to 10 x 5. Lowered poison damage to 2 over 15 seconds. Changed to give you a chance of out healing the damage in survival. Max potential is 200
- - Caltrops and Poison Caltrops: Removed chance to cause disease. Humans in the vanilla game did not give you this to worry about, I don't think these should either now that their usable by enemies.
- - Bottlecap Mine Vanilla +: Fixed still spawning caps.
- - DLC + Blast Mine: Removed stagger lock cheese. These mines already have great utility and damage over time. But will no longer cause stagger now.
-
Version 1.3
- General: Fomod may be slightly more complicated to some users now. If you get confused, remember that selections with the same image can all be used together.
- General: When updating to 1.3, Please sell any Blast Mines you currently have to vendors. New forum Id's mean they will be deleted upon updating.
- General: Blast Mine is now separate from vanilla + and standalone plugins. If you were having issues with it, leave the new Blast Mine plugins disabled.
- General: Fixed Vanilla + mines still accidently using landmine animations. Super Mutants should no longer get stuck.
- Far Harbor: Bear trap breaking chance has been reduced to 50%.
- Far Harbor: Caltrops / bear traps are now considered silent and are better able to supplement stealth players.
- Far Harbor: Crafting recipes have been changed to require "Demolition Expert" like all other mines / grenades. Uniquely, the base versions can be crafted with rank 1.
- Far Harbor: Poison caltrops now also require 1 lead and 1 acid. Bleeding Bear traps now also require 2 oil to craft.
- Far Harbor: Adjusted poisoned caltrops / bleeding bear traps to no longer be direct upgrades. Base versions offer high, flat damage. While poisoned / bleeding offer much higher damage over time.
- Far Harbor: Increased health of caltrop / bear trap projectiles. Attempt at preventing enemies destroying them the moment you throw, while engaged in combat. (25 Health)
- Far Harbor: Bear trap = 150 silent damage. Bleeding bear trap = 75 damage. 150 bleed damage. Total of 225 damage, but more enemies resist / are immune to bleed causing it to be inconsistent in power.
- Far Harbor: Caltrops = 120 silent damage. Poisoned Caltrops = 60 damage. 120 Poison damage. Total of 180 damage, but more enemies resist / are immune to poison causing it to be inconsistent in power.
- Far Harbor: Caltrops are no longer lobbers and no longer arc, due to the inability for the game to calculate the throwing arc of multiple projectiles. You can now throw them exactly where you want to, in a straight line. Even directly at enemies like throwing knife styled weapons.
- Far Harbor: Reduced worth of caltrops / bear traps slightly to correlate with their cheap crafting materials. Attempt at removing the "craft cheap, sell for more." exploit.
- Far Harbor: Caltrops projectiles have been reduced back to 5, old method of higher RNG is gone. Damage should be more consistent.
- Blast Mine: Explosion damage reduced to 200. Fire damage increased to 40. Total damage is 240.
-
Version 1.2
- Important Note: If you are using the standalone version and would like to change to vanilla +, it is safe to swap versions. All existing throwable mines will be removed, so it is recommended you sell them to a vendor before switching over.
- General: Added V+ version. Tweaks vanilla mines instead of adding standalone mines. only the Blast Mine is a new item.
- General: Added V+ Far Harbor Addon version. Tweaks vanilla Far Harbor mines instead of adding standalone mines.
- General: Adjusted all projectile speeds to a consistent 4x vanilla. (1600)
- General: Fixed Far Harbor Mines not being automatically removed.
- General: Increased removal delay to 5 minutes.
- General: Optimized level lists to draw from less entries.
- General: Optimized level list distribution.
- General: Rebuilt Fomod.
- Bear Trap: Decreased damage from 120 to 10.
- Bear Trap: Added bleed damage of 10 for 10 seconds. Total damage of 10 ballistic + 100 bleed.
- Bleeding Bear Trap: Lowered damage from 150 to 20.
- Bleeding Bear Trap: Increased bleed damage from 5 for 5 seconds to 10 for 20 seconds. Total damage of 20 ballistic + 200 bleed.
- Bear Trap and Bleeding Bear Trap: Removed check for sneak perks. No longer can just be ignored.
- Bear Trap and Bleeding Bear Trap: Reduced weight to 0.5 to make it worth carrying without being extremely detrimental. Gameplay before realism in this case.
- Caltrops: Decreased damage from 15 to 6.
- Caltrops: Added bleed damage of 2 for 5 seconds.
- Caltrops: Increased projectile count from 5 to 10. Potential damage if all traps land is 60 ballistic + 100 bleed. Slightly stronger than the Molotov. But is harder to achieve full damage with, as not to overshadow it.
- Caltrops and Poisoned Caltrops. Due to damage adjustments, increased spawn level requirement from 1 and 10 to 5 and 15.
- Poisoned Caltrops: Decreased damage from 25 to 9.
- Poisoned Caltrops: Increased projectile count from 5 to 10. Potential damage if all traps land is 90 ballistic + 150 poison. Higher tier weapon in-between plasma and pulse. But is harder to achieve full damage with.
- Caltrops and Poisoned Caltrops: Fixed projectiles after the 1st not doing correct damage.
- Blast Mine: Fixed having Molotov sounds play on pick up instead of Mine sounds.
- Blast Mine: Value increased to 40 caps like Fallout 76.
- Blast Mine: Fixed Mine not having a correct weight of 0.5.
-
Version 1.1.1
- Added correct version of the Far Harbor plugin. Accidently uploaded old test version that did not contain the correct entries.
-
Version 1.1
- Added fomod installer.
- Added Far Harbor patch with rebalanced Caltrops and Beartraps. Requires Far Harbor.
- Added current patches to fomod.
- Renamed Scrapbox mine back to Bottlecap mine to keep lore friendliness.
- Remade Molotov mine into the Blast Mine from Fallout 76. Now spawns at level 18, all existing Molotov mines will be converted into Blast Mines.
- Blast Mine: Deals 225 ballistic damage, while setting targets on fire for an additional 25 damage over 5 seconds. Leaves behind a small fire hazard for 15 seconds that will reapply fire. Has a 54 unit smaller explosion radius than all other mines. (94 inner / 446 outer) The explosion is considered Silent. (Doesn't really make sense, but that's what the wiki says https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Blast_mine)
- Throwable Caltrops: Spawns at level 1. Each Caltrop will deal 15 damage.
- Throwable Poisoned Caltrops: Spawns at level 10. Each Caltrop will deal 25 damage and inflict 25 more poison damage over a span of 5 seconds.
- Throwable Bear Trap: Spawns at level 5. Will deal 120 damage. Reach of the Bear Trap has been increased from 5 units to 7.5.
- Throwable Bleeding Bear Trap: Spawns at level 15. Will deal 150 damage and inflict 25 more bleed damage over a span of 5 seconds. Reach of the Bear Trap has been increased from 5 units to 7.5.
