The real thing was one of the worst sub machine guns ever made. So inaccurate it has to be seen to be believed and it used to jam up for fun. Aweful gun. Not the mod, the real thing
I guess that you never used one. The front sight was weided on and was more often than not off. The spring was too weak leading to jamming. You could not wrap your hand around the heat shield as you would block the inaccurate sight. Holding the magazine would lead to wear and jamming. The gun was uncomfortable to hold and cheaply made. It was a disaster
A comment from wikipedia The Sten, especially the Mark II, tended to attract affection and loathing in equal measure. Its peculiar appearance when compared to other firearms of the era, combined with sometimes questionable reliability made it unpopular with some front-line troops.[39] It gained nicknames such as "Plumber's Nightmare", "Plumber's Abortion", or "Stench Gun".[19] The Sten's advantage was its ease of mass-production manufacture in a time of shortage during a major conflict.
Just saying that is all. This is not a disparging comment on the mod. I realise that telling the truth in a post truth world is a revolutionary act. (George Orwell) Check out the gun for yourself even if you have to google it.
@royyeadon, you've only half-read the wiki and cherry picked from it to paint a false picture. Over 4 million were made - the 2nd most produced gun of WW2 (only the Soviet PPSh-41 saw higher production). Of course, with such vast numbers produced it had more failure reports than many other guns. And most complaints and early bad publicity came from variable factory quality in the earliest models (1940-41) made during the rushed days after Dunkirk and through the Blitz. But even some of the well-made early ones were rated a better option than the Thompson SMG by some. And the Sten was very light, ultra-cheap & quick to make, and easy to conceal. British & Commonwealth special forces used them in WW2 and Korea, and the Brits air-dropped loads to resistance fighters across Europe too. They were so light & cheap that some mid-late war units could afford to have them just as an extra weapon.
It was great for its job as a simple, cheap and easy to produce firearm. It helped handle the massive demand following the declaration of a war Britain wasn't prepared to fight. Not to mention they had just abandoned half their equipment in France. Soldiers and partisans alike used it to great effect. Its long use was more due to Britain being economically ruined after the war and was soon replaced by the Sterling, which is a beautiful looking replacement and lasted until the 90s.
@GloriousWarrior your just saying that cause your a Russian bot... cant wait for the day Russia takes things to far and I get to drive my brad straight through the streets of Moscow
The reliabality issues were mostly caused by soldiers holding the gun by the magazine, which you are not supposed to do and caused feeding issues. Then again a general infantry weapon should be idiot-proof.
Hello! please add a precise description of the machine gun location. I can't figure out if the mod is installed or not because I don't know where to look
UPD: I had problems deploying the mod, already fixed it and added a screenshot of the location.
Is it possible to make a patch so that super mutants can use this gun? I had made an xedit patch where in this gun replaces all vanilla pipe guns. However I just realized that the super mutants cannot use this gun. If someone knows how to do this, could you teach me?
Love the mod but can someone come up with a caliber complex patch? It's chambered in .22LR in the game when it should really be in 9mm. I have no modding skill so that's why I'm asking.

Matter what is the best.
AK is the best PP.
The best laser.
And the best grenade launcher.
Deal with it.

And yes, I am inside Walden Drugs in Concord, exactly where the weapon should be according to the screenshot.
The suppressed sound..delicious :D
If this thing ever gets an update- I'd love to see an alternative, stainless steel finish as optional skin.
Or a nickel one. Oh boy!
