Greetings Sir! Very nice mod! Finally can replace that terrible combat shotgun. There’s just one minor inconvenience in it which is left from custom animations as I believe - when you shoot from riot shotgun in 3d person and you’re in Power Armor, shotgun shell is floating above the gun. Is there any way to remove it? Thanks in advance!
Has anyone else tried this with the Never Ending weapon mod attached via ECO/LEO? I'd expected an awesome upgrade to its usefulness without reloading, but instead, it's causing a significant delay between every shot, making it even worse than vanilla. It may be (probably is) something with my load order of course, but I figured I'd at least ask if I was alone.
Hello sir. You mentioned in the description that the esp is esl flagged, but it still appears as a normal ESP. Did you refer to something else when you mentioned in that in the description? :)
Just wanted to come back and mention, inspite of the unique Combat Shotty probably getting messed up due to my uninstalling and reinstalling of the mod (and/or potentially having fudged up merging the various archives during my first time installing) that I finally did manage to get my hands on a Riot Shotgun, through ECO's weapon crafting feature where the replaced Riot Shotgun was listed among the craftable weapons. So I crafted one and it works flawelessly as intended.
I installed everything in order as described and not only (on a new playthrough) is the Combat Shotgun still the vanilla combat shotgun, according to searching in the console there exists no such thing as a Riot Shotgun in my game, I then proceeded to reinstall all the files (again in the described order) and spawned a new 'Combat Shotgun' into the game as well as crafted one through ECO and it is still the vanilla combat shotgun.
I legitimately have no clue what I am doing wrong, if I am doing anything wrong as I then found a bug thread on the original riot shotgun with 3 other people mentioning that the Riot Shotgun literally doesn't exist in their game, meaning I'm not the only one with this issue.
Don't sort these with LOOT. It breaks things. Also see the sticky above about weapon replacers like this one. The end user of this mod has to set load order for it. What mods are winning conflicts?
So what I did was download all the pre-requisite files, I unpacked the original weapon mod followed by the retexture and let the files from the retexture overwrite the original, then I did the same with animations and sounds (as per the order described here on the main page) then I repacked this archive and installed it via Vortex. Lastly I installed this mod and let it's esp file overwrite the repacked archive. (I could've also just replaced the original mod's esp instead but eh I did it this way.) I double checked Vortex and this esp is overwriting the original esp so it isn't the other way around by accident either.
edit* I did notice that a unique combat shotgun at Covenant is just a garbled mess of riot shotgun and combat shotgun textures intermixed since I reinstalled the mod mid playthrough. I don't really care about it but it would be nice if I could just spawn a Riot Shotgun in, except I can't find any shotgun called that in the console and spawning in a Combat Shotgun is still just a vanilla combat shotgun.
In console "player.placeatme 0014831C" or you could use player.additem . If that does not work, then you have another mod changing the combat shotgun WEAP record after this mod.
I thought I might have something combat shotgun related installed, turns out nope just a retexture, I also tried loading Riot Shotgun last in my load order but it didn't change anything.
I see. I made a mistake then and didn't realise it until well into my playthrough. I wanted to buy justice but its a vanilla combat shotgun, is there any way to make it look like the riot shotgun now or am I just screwed?

having a bit of an issue so recently I had a clean installation and downloaded this mod (obviously including the hard required mods) but the gun is invincible for some reason. it worked perfectly when I installed it mid player through, which all I had to do was to change the upgrades that this shotgun comes with to make it work but now it doesn't seem to work. the load order is also correct.
You have something conflicting with the Riot Shotgun. It should never require any upgrades to work. Be sure you follow the load order guideline on the main page for the order of Replacers like this one, and the placement of any mods which affect components.
hmm this is very strange. Im pretty sure the order is right. I have the main file, animation and then your mod which is the same way I had them before. would you reckon I should put it a bit lower in the plugins? also when I downloaded this first time, the weapon was not invincible but in order to change the vanilla shotgun I had to upgrade the parts in a workbench to make that change. I hoped it would work the same way but it didn't. ill let you know if I figured something out.
What do you mean by "change the vanilla shotgun"? There should be 0 vanilla shotguns. Oh wait, last time you added this mod mid-save. So any those existing shotguns would have stayed vanilla since that is the way they spawned.
Part of checking you load order is check for any other mods which affect weapon components. See the main page "General Recommendation". I've put this in the sticky above too.
If you are running BLD, or another mod which patches weapons, that patch will conflict with mod. It would need a custom patch.
sorry for my dumbness. seems like I forgot to add these 2 in my custom ini [Archive] bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 sResourceDataDirsFinal= no wonder why a handful of my mods weren't working.

Install the other patches
Install this mod last since I have my edits plus the animation changes.
Yes - just one .esp
